Gerber Infant Spoons —

The Gerber Company has done it again!  Gerber Infant Spoons are the perfect size for your babies first feedings with soft silicone tips to protect gums.  I was introduced to the Gerber Infant Spoons by my oldest daughter when my first grandson was born a little over two years ago.  There was not anything like this when my girls were babies and I quickly fell for these little spoons.

Gerber Infant Spoons

These spoons are about 6 inches long which makes them perfect for an adult to hold.  The end of the spoon is tiny, making it the perfect size to fit into a babies' mouth.  The tips of the Gerber Infant Spoons are coated in silicone in various colors.  I purchased the two pack for keeping at my house.  The 2 pack retails for around $1.99.

I really liked the thought of a silicone coated spoon tip.  When you are introducing a baby to cereal, they don't like the sensation of cold metal going into their mouths.  After all, they are used to warm things being put into their mouth, so this cold sensation from a regular spoon just does not relate to eating.  The silicone tipped spoon also protects your babies' mouth when the teething stage hits.  Gums are usually swollen and sore and again a metal spoon is not exactly welcome it you poke your babies' gums in the swollen area.

The Gerber Infant Spoons are also dishwasher safe or easily cleaned with warm soap and water.

This just seems like a better way of feeding babies, especially when introducing them to solid foods.  Another great product from Gerber!

Good review. My nephew never had any problems with these spoons either.
