Handy meals!

4

I love Gerber products! They make some really good stuff and the prices are right. I like how you can get Gerber snacks and meals just about anywhere that sells food or baby and toddler products. I was skeptical about these meals at first because I tend to stay away from products like these teat require no refrigeration. Especially when its food for my kids. I am not super crazy over what we eat but it is important to me that I only feed them what they like and actually enjoy eating. I like when things are a time saver because very rarely am I not busy! I try to also sample what I feed my kids first because there is some nasty tasting kids foods out there. I will admit some of these meals are actually good, some are pretty bland but my kids have loved every kind of these Gerber meals. They are super handy and easy to prepare. Just pop them in the microwave and they are ready to serve after a careful temperature check to be sure there are no hot spots. They are ready to serve in the little dishes and are the perfect portions. I wouldn't feed these all the time but they are great to have on hand for when you need to quickly feed your child and dont have enough time to cook a meal. I feel like Im giving them something better than feeding them out of a can or box. I definitely like these meals and all of my kids have liked the taste and almost always finish them!

Great way to make sure your toddler is eating their veggies!

I bought these for my niece who was staying with me for a couple of days. She loves ravioli but I do not love that the canned stuff is loaded with a bunch of preservatives and other not so good stuff. With these I know not only are the ingredients the best available for food for her, but they also have great nutrition in them, with the chicken and carrots. She is kind of picky when it comes to veggies, and with these she doesn't even notice that she is eating the carrots. The container is microwavable, they are easy for toddler to pick up and feed themselves. I've tasted this particular variety, and they do taste pretty good. Not too mushy, and have far more flavor than I expected a food developed for toddler's to have. Which is good, I don't think just because it's food for toddler's it should be less flavorful. I am pleased with the price too, they are less than a couple of bucks and they are great for having around the house when you don't have time to cook a full meal, or for when a sitter is watching your little one.

The pasta is slimy!

1

My toddler is not a fan of Gerber Graduates for Toddlers Pasta Pick-Ups Chicken & Carrot Ravioli, and I totally understand where he is coming from. First, this toddler meal has a very strong odor when you open the package. The ravioli has a strange texture and appears slimy. It feels slimy as well and it is very difficult for my toddler to pick up. Second, when you cut open a ravioli, it is clear that the distribution of chicken and carrots is not even in each ravioli. Very few of the ravioli pieces have an equal amount of chicken and carrots. Some pieces have a lot of carrots and other pieces have a lot of chicken. Finally, my toddler did not like the taste of the Gerber Graduates for Toddlers Pasta Pick-Ups Chicken & Carrot Ravioli. He took one bite and spit it out. I tried it as well and found the texture to be unappetizing and the taste to be somewhat bland. Overall, I do not recommend this product to other parents. Gerber makes many good product, but this is not one of them!

Only if you need something Fast!

I bought these for my kids for a fast meal during the week when I don't have time to make them something that they are going to like to eat. After I took these out of the microwave, they are in a bowl in some type of juice, I remember thinking these look awful! The juice that they were in smelled. The raviolis seemed slimy and smelled horrible. I cut them in half and my son devoured them. I just could not get past how sad they looked and how they smelled. I would only ever buy these for my future kids if I was in a hurry. I was glad that it had a meat and a vegetable in it, so that the child was getting a little bit of both food groups. However, I do not think that the amount of vegetables was a lot. Quality of Ingredients Better than some of the other options that are out there, however still not the best. Everything looked the same color and did not seem the greatest. I am use to buying organic and making things homemade. These raviolis just seemed very sad. Safety They are in a good size for small toddlers. I still cut them in half just to be extra cautious.

Great for an independent baby!

The Pasta Pick-Ups by Gerber Graduates are a staple at our house!  I always keep these on hand for outings, dinner at the grandparents' house, or when I need a few minutes to start dinner.  These Pasta Pick-Ups are shaped just like ravioli, only about half the size of the other canned ravioli on the market.  Very easy for little fingers to pick them up!  They're packaged in a plastic microwaveable tray that can double as a serving dish.  It's easy peasy to just pop the tray in the microwave for a few seconds and give it to your baby.  He does all the work all by himself!  My son is always proud as can be that he gets to feed himself like a "big boy"!  I love that these ravioli always have some type of vegetable inside.  They taste yummy, but my baby is still getting the nutrition he needs.  Gerber Graduates Pasta Pick-Ups are a great way of "graduating" your child from baby food to big kid food!

Quick, easy delicious way to provide a meal... even on the go!

We were first introduced to the Gerber Graduates Pasta Pick-ups just over 2 years ago with our oldest child. She was a very picky eater, so like most moms, I was having a hard time getting her to eat anything, let alone something that was nutritious! I decided to try the Gerber Pasta Pick-ups and they instantly became a favorite! I love that they contain both a meat and a vegetable (although there are options that do not include meat). They are quick and easy to serve. You simply open, warm for 30 seconds in the microwave, let cool for a minute or so, and then serve. (However, both of my children have eaten these at room temperature.) They are just the right size for little hands to pick up or for using a fork. They are an excellent choice for when your little one enters the "I only want to feed myself" phase and are absolutely wonderful for on the go! I always keep at least one of these in my diaper bag, because you never know when you might end up at a restaurant that does not have the most kid friendly (or YOUR CHILD friendly) food options! Over the last year or so, they have even improved the container, making them even more appealing. I honestly don't know how we would survive without them!

A ravioli meal for toddlers that sneaks in veggies!

5

I have a hard time trying to get my toddler to eat veggies, so whenever I see a way to sneak them in, I try it.  I buy him [Gerber Harvest Juice][1] because it's made with fruit juice and carrot juice, and this ravioli meal also sneaks some carrots in too. **Gerber Graduates for Toddlers Pasta Pick-Ups Chicken & Carrot Ravioli **comes in a single-serve, 6 oz. tray.  It contains a lot of small raviolis stuffed with chicken, carrots and onion that are soaking in a simple, but flavorful chicken broth. I tasted a ravioli before I served it to my son and was surprised at how tasty this simple meal was.  I was expecting to have to add some pasta sauce or ketchup to the ravioli to make them look appetizing to my son, but he ate them in the broth that they came in.  The broth is very simple, but it complements the ravioli well.  The ravioli filling is mushy, but it doesn't taste bad. I liked that the size of the ravioli was small and bite-size, so my son could stab them with a fork and eat them without me having to cut them in half.  He ate the whole meal, so he must have enjoyed it.  I also like that he's getting some carrots sneaked into his dinner without him having to even see them!  I will definitely buy more **Gerber Graduates Pasta Pick-Ups.** [1]: http://www.viewpoints.com/Gerber-Harvest-Juice-review-b7be3
