Gerber Kiddy Cutlery is perfect for learning to use utensils

5

Gerber Kiddy Cutlery is perfect for transitioning from teeny tiny plastic feeding spoons to full sized adult flatware. They have rubber grippy handles perfect for small hands and metal knife/fork/spoon that work just like their adult counterparts. My main complaint about plastic cutlery is that knives don't cut and forks don't suffficiently "stab" but these metal ones do their job! The food stays on the fork from plate to airplane to mouth. They are of course dishwasher safe and are BPA-free, so they are not a health threat to your kids. Some stores sell the fork/knife/spoon set as well as a 3-pack of spoons and a 3-pack of forks. We have 1 set each of the fork/knife/spoon for each kid in the color combo they picked out and a few of just the 3 forks sets. I always have a few forks stuck in my bag to take to restaurants for my kids to use.

Perfect for little eaters!

5

I bought the **Gerber Graduates Kiddy Cutlery** set when I was looking for a set of eating utensils for my toddler. I saw this set in the store and noticed that it was being advertised as BPA free. We had a lot of plastic utensils, but I was looking for something a little more sturdy and dishwasher safe. These are used all the time by my toddler (well, the fork and spoon - not so much the knife) and put in the dishwasher all the time and they are great. The spoons are perfect for her little mouth, not too deep and not too shallow. The fork and spoon are just about the perfect size for her as well. The handles are chunky and thick and sturdy, perfect for little hands learning to eat by themselves. My toddler can handle the spoon and fork to feed herself. They were great when she was just learning how to eat too, even when the food didn't make it all the way to her mouth. I have several sets of these and am very happy.

Gerber Cultery is great!

This set of utensils comes with a knife, fork and spoon.  All of them have rubber handles and there are several different color options.  They are dishwasher safe which is a must and they don't stain like a lot of the plastic silverware does.  They are middle of the road when it comes to cost and so far they have lasted 2 years for my little one.  I am personally not a fan of the metal because my daugher bites down on the fork or spoon and grinds it between her teeth, so in that case I'd prefer plastic.  They are also a bit more dangerous because they are more durable/stronger than plastic.  The negative is that the knife is pointless.  I'd rather pay less and get a set that only has a fork and spoon for my little one, though I suppose as my daughter gets older I may let her try to cut her food with this knife.  It is the perfect size for her hand, and only as sharp as a butter knife so not as dangerous as it could be.

Good cutlery for small hands

3

The Gerber Graduates Kiddy Cutlery is a very good size for small hands.  It has a great shape to the bottom of each utensil.  The only problem that I have with this utensil set is that the ends of the utensils have a rubber bottom.  My children like to put everything in their mouth and this utensil set was no exception.  They have bitten the ends of the utensils and they have bite marks and small pieces missing out of the rubber grip.  The food stays on the utensil and they are dishwasher safe.  They are fairly inexpensive.  The knife does not get much use around the house since we have not taught our children how to use a knife and are afraid that they could use it to scratch the table.  We also need to watch our children with the fork so that they do not use it to scrape the table.  Gerber is a very good brand and they continually put out wonderfully thought out products.  I would recommend this kiddy cutlery set to anyone.

Gerber Graduates Kiddy Cutlery is the only ones to buy!

Gerber Graduates Kiddy Cutlery is the best silverware for your toddlers.  The handles are bulky enough for little hands to have a good grasp around and the texture of the handles allows little ones to use them easily and prevents slipping.  The cutlery comes in many colors including green, yellow, and pink.  My children always like to have their sets matching at the table.  The fork is sharp enough to pierce food yet I've never felt like it was a danger for my 18 month old to use.  I feel like the spoon is shaped well for a toddler sized mouth because it can hold food easily in it and is bowl shaped enough to prevent the food from falling off the sides.  Honestly, would prefer sets come with the option of just a fork and spoon.  I doubt many toddlers utilize a knife in their culinary adventures so perhaps having a no knife option in the packaging would be useful.  Overall, Gerber Graduates makes the best silverware for tots.

Great size

Great size for little hands learning to feed themselves. Although I don't really see the need of a knife for a toddler. Mom should still be cutting up their food. They are durable, easy to clean, dishwasher safe, bpa safe.

Perfect Tot Size

*There comes a day when they have to grow up...so I bought my daughter the **Gerber Graduates Kiddy Cutlery **when I started her on solid foods. The cutlery is so nice, it has the perfect sized handle for my daughter to use. Some other sets of cutlery have longer handles which make it harder for her to manuver. The rubber grip is rounded and does not hurt her little hands and it holds the food nicely. The price was also a good thing, most of the cutlery comes as a plate and cutlery set and then it is also sold as a seperate cutlery set mostly under 5.00. The **Gerber Graduates Kiddy Cutlery **is also dishwasher safe and easy to clean manually.  The only thing that does not get used is the knife but she likes having it on her plate. I gave my daughter her own space for her cutlery and it makes her day to be able to get them on her own. Overall I think this set is a great value and product and I would recommend it to anyone. It is OUTSTANDING PRODUCT!!!*

Best toddler silverware

4

The Gerber graduates silverware is great for the advancing toddlers to learn how to feed themselves. I recently got these for my 17 month old and within one week she is learning to put the food on the fork and spoon all on her own. I don't give her the knive. She is even so proud of herself to be learning how to feed herself it is amazing to watch. I was nervous at first to give her the fork because I thought she could stab herself but she has been really good about it. I really like how much bigger and deeper the spoon is compared to infant spoons. You can get more on them and the food doesn't fall off. I don't know if they are going to last forever due to teething but they do seem like a good, cheap often for kids. If you are looking for silverware for your toddler, I would go with this option. Be prepared to spend a little more than you did on infant spoons though as these are meant to last longer.

Gerber's Kiddy Cutlery are so easy to use & comfortable to grip.

My son received a set of Gerber Graduates Kiddy Cutlery for his first birthday. The recommended age is 18+ months. I didn't open them right away, but now he is 15 months and I thought he would like to try pieces other than "just spoons". This morning I opened up the package of Kiddy Cutlery. I must say he was pretty excited to have something "new" and he mastered their grip right away! The utensils are stainless steel with a rubberized grip. I was nervous about the metal utensils at first, which is why I waited to use them. I liked the silicone-coated tips on the infant spoons better, but now that my son can get the utensil in his mouth without jamming his teeth or gums, the metal seems fine. I LOVE the handles on these pieces. They have a rubberized coating, which makes them wonderful to grip, even with messy eaters. The set comes as a spoon, fork, and knife. They come in assorted colors, my son has the two-tone blue set. They are also available in a yellow/green and a pink/purple. The spoon has a howl that is deeper than adult spoons - to help keep food on it - but not so deep that it is hard to get the food off (like some I have seen and tried). The fork has four rounded prongs that easily spear food. My son is able to stab food, lift it to his mouth, and eat it without the food falling off. The knife is smooth and rounded. It is a great way for toddlers to safely practice cutting, but I don't think it will cut anything but the softest foods. I haven't tried it yet, but I think it will be something that my son will like when he gets a little older. All three pieces have longer handles, although not super long, and are sized for toddlers, with a fatter grip. The pieces are dishwasher safe. I think these utensils make an excellent set. If I didn't already have so many spoons, I may have opened it earlier and let him start with just the spoon, then add the fork, then add the knife later. I would definitely recommend this item for parents with children interested in feeding themselves.

The **Gerber Graduates Kiddy Cutlery** is a must have for any new moms.  These are specifically made for toddlers and offer a great value for what you get.  They also often have coupons for this available on the Gerber's web site or when you call Gerber and request them. The **Gerber Graduates Kiddy Cutlery** features kid friendly colors and they are designed specifically for small hands and small mouths.  With this in mind they also hold up well after many dishwasher sessions for us.  I don't do dishes but they fare very well in the dishwasher. Besides all of this the **Gerber Graduates Kiddy Cutlery** is also a little softer then just plain metal cutlery.  This is a great feature for toddlers.  I also love that you can find this cutlery just about anywhere.  I have seen it in the local grocery stores as well at Walmart.  If you have a baby shower coming up this would be a great practical gift to give the new mom.  A good value for you and a great long lasting product for the new baby!
