Gerber Graduates Finger Food Fruit & Veggies Puffs —

These are a great first snack because they melt in your baby's mouth.  Just don't try them too young or they could choke.

My negative comment is that they are sooooo expensive.  As soon as you can, move on to cheerios or some other snack food!  Ounce for ounce, this has got to be one of the most expensive "cereals" on the market.  I haven't seen them anywhere for less than $2.00 and they come in a 1.48 oz package.

I would definitely recommend them for starting your baby on finger foods, as they can manage them fairly easily and you don't have to worry about them really choking (even when my little boy choked, they melted as they went down, since this is just what they are designed to do).

I do have a girlfriend who couldn't get her son to eat anything BUT Gerber Puffs because she let him have them for quite some time, so buyer beware - if you can switch your son or daughter to Cheerios and the like as soon as they can chew them, you will save money.  Keep the containers for toting snacks around though - they are a very convenient size!
