I liked that I could cook for my whole family using this grill and would be able to also skip adding any extra grease/butter to cook the items. I can spray it with PAM or the likes if I need to prevent any sticking. I don't like the amount of space it takes up. I usually put a drip tray cooking sheet underneath just in case some grease spills through. I'm impressed that I can finish my main course of the meal rather quickly and have it taste good.

The "Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine"  is the most convenient grill I have ever had. Rain or shine, in just minutes I can fix a perfect meal. I keep mine on my kitchen counter next to the sink. This makes it easy to go from preparing food to grilling. This George Foreman grill cooks from both sides, top and bottom. So flavor is quickly sealed in and done to perfection in no time. From grilled vegetables to thick steaks, everything I have cooked on this grill has been succulent. Clean up is a cinch with the nonstick finish. I usually just rub half a lemon over it then wipe with a paper towel, followed by a quick wipe of my dish rag and presto, I'm finished. Best of all, for two people I can cook a whole meal on it and not have a sink full of dirty pots and pans to worry about. I originally began using my "Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine" for it's health benefits. As a cancer survivor, healthy eating is a priority for me. The grill has a drip tray and is designed at a slight slant so any fat drips right into the washable tray. It also allows me to cook vegetable without all of their nutrients escaping. A few extra helpful tidbits: it comes with two plastic spatulas, a cook book, a light for dummy's, to let you know when it is hot. Did I mention it heats up in about a minute. WOW, what did I do before I had my George Foreman "Lean Mean Fat Reducing Machine"? We love our George Forman Grill. It makes grilling quick, easy, and feasible all year long! We love to grill chicken on it, as well as hamburgers. I know that there are a lot more things that we could be doing with it, but even with the two things that I already mentioned, it has definitely made it more than worthwhile to us. The grease drains right off, and into the little plastic catch tray. It's wonderful to know that we are not consuming all that fat! While, it does not have removeable plates, it really isn't necessary. Cleanup is a snap. We either clean it right away, or at least turn it back on for several minutes before we clean it. First we use the little cleaning tool that came with it, I then finish with a few wipes downs with a wet wash cloth. Having the grill hot, definitely makes cleaning a cinch!

I highly recommend the George Foreman Jumbo-Sized Family Grill for a healthy way of cooking steaks, chicken, burgers, and other meats. The meat cooks quickly and tastes great. However, there are some drawbacks. This product would be much easier to use if the grids were removable for an easier cleanup. There is a non-stick surface, but things do tend to make a mess regardless of the non-stick feature. The plastic tray for catching the grease works fine and can be washed in the dishwasher with the plastic turner. The main problem is the grilling surface itself. Because of the difficulty is cleaning it, I often use a frying pan instead because I don't want to mess with the cleanup. I think removable grilling surfaces would really enhance this grill.

I purchased this grill as a Christmas present for my husband and myself. We had previously owned a Hamilton Beach grill that had served us well for six years, and had recently given up the ghost. Upon taking this grill out of the box, I already had a sinking feeling. The grill plates weren't removeable. This makes for very difficult cleanup. The construction was flimsy. The grease catcher, which simply sits under the lip of the gril, is too easy to misalign or accidently nudge out of the way during cooking. And this was noticed upon first opening the box. I decided to give it a decent chance before making a decision, so I grilled some chicken breast for dinner. I cooked them for the amount of time given in the instructions, only to find they were still raw inside. So I cooked them half again as long.. only to find them charred outside and still raw in the middle. If the meat had been an inch or more thick, I'd have at least chalked it up to that.. but these were small, thin pieces of meat. How an appliance can be that inadequate and still be allowed to sell is beyond me. I will save my money and buy a new Hamilton Beach grill, so I at least know I am paying for a quality product instead of just a name.

This is not our families first George Foreman grill but as we've added people we've needed a larger capacity grill. I'm loving this one, we went from being able to cook two burgers to six or four with a couple of hotdogs on the side. I'm not much for cooking meat and so I put pretty much everything on this grill, steaks, chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs, sausage, bacon, pork and even salmon burgers. I love how quickly it cooks and how easy it is to clean up. It would be nice if the grill plate were removable but I wonder if that would just make it less sturdy. So far this one has held up really well. On our last one we had scraped off much of the non-stick coating and the bun warmer had dissappeared long ago. Because it's so large I would like it if it had some kind of a latch to hold it together so I could store it vertically. I guess that's something that I could do myself though. Overall I'm very satisfied and would recommend it to friends but not family because they all already have one.

I only use this George Forman grilling machine to make bacon.  After getting burned from splattering grease from frying bacon, I decided there must be a better way.  This large grill is my answer. My family doesn't like microwaved bacon, or the pre-cooked type, so I had to find another way.  It cooks on both sides at once.  I do put paper towels under the drip tray, as it always drips over this, especially on the edges, and this helps avoid messes.  I don't use it for grilling hamburgers or other meats, as I feel it drys them out too much by draining out all the juices with the grease.   This model does not have temperature settings, so you can't adjust how hot you want it to get.  I have made toasted cheese sandwiches and hot dogs in it sucessfully.  I put a wet paper towel across the grids immediately after using.  Let it sit a while, and then you can usually wipe off the grill pretty easily.  Unfortunately, this model does not have removable grids, so you can't throw them in the dishwasher like some smaller ones.  For that reason, I marked it a little lower on the scale.

George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing grilling machine is a very safe, simple, useful and efficient piece of  kitchen equipment..It comes with a manual that guides you through your cooking experience and which gives you some grilling recipes as well. On days that i can't cook for my family or when we don't want to go out to eat and just want to relax at home, we use this grilling machine to make quick and easy foods and it is amazing how effectively it removes the fats from the burgers, chicken and beef steaks that we cook. It is good to know that i am not getting all the bad fats and grease from my food, it makes me feel good about what i eat. We also tried using it for making grilled cheese sandwiches and it's wonderful. We also sometimes use it to grill fish and vegetables and the outcome is always great.And if you worry about the after cooking scenario, this appliance is very manageable and easy to clean. I also like it's size and color and how perfectly it fits on the countertop.
