I have a George Foreman electric grill. I bought it because my apartment building bans charcoal and propane grills, but they allow the electric plug-in grills. I have it on my porch, and use it quite frequently throughout the summer. It is the kind that is on a stand, and you can adjust the height. There is one grilling surface that is nonstick, which is nice. However, I find that if you use any kind of marinade on the meat, it sticks like crazy. It kinda sucks, because you end up not being able to use any of the cool marinades that are out there. Also, I find that the grill does a nice job with cooking stuff, but that I really miss the charcoal flavor. A friend of mine suggested using Liquid Smoke, which I tried, and it does give it a bit of a smoky flavor. But it's not as good as the real deal, unfortunately. I'd say that overall, the Foreman is a healthy way to prepare a meal, allows you to enjoy the summer, and is a good alternative if you live in an apartment and can't use a charcoal grill.
