Not as a grill, but a multitude of other uses

grills don't remove, difficult to clean

While I am not a huge fan of this for grilling meat (Hey, I like an open flame) but this is a wonderful device for smashed sandwiches and bacon. Yes, bacon. Use it to cook bacon for a quick, no splatter solution to the frying pan. Oh, and make sure you get a new model with the removeable plates for easier cleanup. Ours is older with fixed plates and I HATE cleaning it!
