Grills Some Meats Well

4

The Foreman Grill isn't going to make you a succulent burger or a juicy steak. But it's also not bad. It grills chicken pretty decently. All the fat drips right off. (Though some say that's the best part.) It's easy to clean, as the trays pop right on and off, though occasionally it's tricky to get them on. Performance It grills most meat pretty well, not so sure about veggies. Durability It's as durable and tough as it has to be. Ease of Cleaning You can take the trays off and wash them easily. I sometimes have a little trouble popping them back on. Ease of Use Pretty much set it and forget it.

Amazing, you can cook anything on this grill!

One of the best Christmas gifts I have every received was the George Foreman 360 grill for last Christmas.  My husband knows how much I enjoy grilling but hate the mess of the tabletop grills that are on the market.  Equipped with 106 square inches of cooking surface, this round-shaped electric grill features five removable cooking plates for exceptional versatility. The countertop appliance can function as a deep-dish pizza oven, a six-pocket quesadilla press, an omelet maker, or a pancake griddle--simply switch out the plates. Five come included: two ribbed grill plates, two quesadilla plates, and a 1-inch deep-dish plate for pizzas, griddling, baking, and more. The appliance's appeal lies not only in its simplicity and countertop convenience, but also in its fat-fighting ability. The cooking surface can be adjusted from flat to angled in order to help channel fat away from food and into the built-in drip tray. Even more, its triple nonstick coating allows for low-fat cooking while ensuring effortless food release. The unit also provides adjustable temperature control, a "ready" indicator light, and a 1-1/2-inch floating hinge to accommodate thicker sandwiches or steaks.  You simply wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and put the removable plates in the dishwasher. I love this grill! My family can make deep dish pizzas, quesadillas, omlets, pancakes, burger...I could go on forever!

A little too much going on for me.

Before I get into the criticisms, let me state that I have always been a huge fan of George Foreman grills; I remember having one pretty early on in the nineties. They are convenient, healthier, and all around they make delicious food; I believe everyone should own one...but maybe not this one. My boyfriend decided that we needed to replace our old white, rectangular-shaped George Foreman in favor of a newer model. Just like the movies, sometimes sequels don't work out. I don't know if he was attracted to the red paint or the fact that it highly resembled his electric outdoor grill, but whatever it was, he fell in love with this model. I, however, did not. It has too many attachments and plates, it is awkwardly-shaped, and the lid is awful! I feel like it is detaching or something every time I lift it up. One day, I am going to drop it on my hand and then it will really get replaced! I also feel like not as much grease is removed by this one.

Foreman Grill works wonder

I received a Foreman Grill as a wedding gift from a friend and I would say it is one of the best home appliances I own. My husband owned a Foreman Grill in college and him and his roomates always cooked all their meat on it. I thought what a "guy thing" to own but now that I have one of my own I can't live without it. The Foreman Grill comes with several plates that can be used for specific cooking needs. I tend to use the one that you can use to leave grill marks and the one that is in 4 quadrants, for quesadilla making. The assembly is really simple even I can do it. As for cleaning, it is also very simple and effecient. All you have to really clean is the grease that drips off in the tray and wipe off the extra grease on the plates. Then you can throw those plates in a dishwasher and it will come out nice and clean. I also like the grill because it makes my apartment smell a lot less. With pans, all the oil and grease splatter everywhere and the smell of whatever you are cooking tends to fill the entire living space but with this grill, there is not splattering of oil and the smell factor is a lot less which I prefer. Owning this Foreman Grill might make you want to cook more meat for your husband!

My love for the George is fading...

When I first started using a George Foreman grill years ago, I was in love. Over many years I had purchased and given away or tossed so many gadgets that claimed you could use them to grill indoors, because each one of those failed miserably...until the George Foreman grill. It did such a fantastic job of cooking burgers, steaks, and chicken that when George starting introducing the larger family-sized versions, I didn't hesitate to upgrade to a bigger model. Again I was pleasantly surprised with all that could be done on this marvelous piece of kitchen equipment. So, after several years of reliable service, I started looking for the lastest model to happily upgrade to. Well, the idea that I could make quesadillas and even cook a pizza on the George Foreman 360 really drew my attention and I decided to once again take the plunge. I have tried using this on numerous occasions and am getting more and more disappointed with each use. The good...it has removable plates that make them so much easier to clean...love that! The bad...even with adjustable heat, it never gets hot enough to thoroughly or evenly cook anything and you can forget about those coveted grill marks...it just won't happen with this. And the ugly...the upper plates don't feel at all secure and I have read in other reviews that they can pop off while hot and be a real safety hazard. I also find it difficult to find room to store all the plates that come with this without them getting scratched or the side latches getting bent. The ideas included with this particular model are terrific, I just don't feel they were executed very well.

One of my most used appliances

I'm sure you've seen those late night infomercials on the George Foreman grill and wondered if it was that good.   I thought the same thing, but then a girlfriend of mine raved about hers, so I decided to give it  a try.  I bought the 360 model because my husband really likes quesadillas and this one makes them very easily.  I used my George Foreman grill one to two times a week.  I pretty much use it for chicken, pork chops, and steaks, but it also makes wonderful grilled cheese sandwiches.  The 360 comes with several plates:  2 grill plates, 2 quesadilla plates, and 1 plate used as a griddle/bake plate/deep dish pizza/shallow pan.   It heats up quickly and food cooks in no time.  I love the ease of grilling without having to go outside in the dark and cold and using a grill. It's easy to clean, but the coating does come off a little more easily than I like.  I use the sponges/scrubbers manufactured for this product, but have still noticed a bit of wear.  The other fault I have is that the top plate is difficult to attach and I've had it fall off several times after it gets heated up.  This has also resulted in the plastic handles on the top plate cracking.  I also wish they made the cord about 8-10 inches longer.  You have to be very close to an outlet to use it. I think because of this, when it comes time to replace it, I'll get the new Evolve model.

Best Forman grill there is

First I can say that I love George Foreman grills. But then I haev to say that this is the best grill that he has on his line. I LOVE IT that you can remove these grill plates. I had a different George Foreman grill that I truly did love. BUT I HATED to clean it. I kept saying that I would use the grill so much more if I didn't have to clean it that way. When I saw that there was a grill that the plates could be removed and put in the dishwasher i was so excited. I had to have it. And it is worth every penny I paid for it. George Foreman grills cook whatever you are grilling to perfection. All the grease just rolls down into the drip trays and you know you just made a good meal for your family. When I cook hamburgers I am so excited that you lay the burgers on the grill and about 4-5 minutes later the burgers are cooked just the way I like them to turn out. The meat cooks very evenly everytime. LOVE THIS GRILL.

George Foreman 360 Indoor is fantastic.

I hate to cook.  If the food isn't microwavable then I didn't buy it.  Last Christmas my friend got me a small freezer full of meat, which I tried to return to her.  Not that I was being ungrateful but I didn't know how to cook any of it.  Besides, all I had was two pots and a pizza stone.   I then remember that one of my friends had a George Foreman grill and how much she loved it.  So I started looking around and reading reviews.  I had decided on one but when I tried to order it, they were sold out.  Which turned out to be a blessing because the next month, I found 360 on sale for half the price.  I had read great reviews but I couldn't afford it.  So here it was on sale and I got it.   You can control the temperature with a sliding knob. It has removable plates that make it so much easier to clean.  Which is nice with all the fat that comes out when cooking.  I also use it to lightly toast bagels.  I did use the pan plate to cook pizza but I didn't like the way it looked even though it tasted fine. Now for the cons, this it thing does take up space.  It does not have an on/off switch so you have to unplug it when your done.  Its best to use on boneless meats otherwise it will take forever to get done.  The coating does come off so be careful when cleaning.  Next to my convection microwave oven this is the second most used appliance in my kitchen.

Fast, easy , and tasty- what more could you want?

My boyfriend and I found this grill for a 50% discount which makes it no more expensive that the standard Foreman grills we've had before. So far we love it. The plates come out and machine wash. There is a little bit of white film just out of the dishwasher, we assume from the detergent, but that rinses off easily so it hasn't been a problem. We been able to use all the different plates even though we haven't had the grill very long. I love having temperature adjustment on this model unlike some of our previous Foremans. The food come out as it always has, perfectly cooked if you time it correctly. We always have to set a kitchen timer or stay in the kitchen because it cooks so quickly. The taste and texture of everything we cook is fantastic without the fat. The rest of the machine that is not dishwashable is pretty difficult to clean though and grease builds up very quickly if you aren't paying attention. It also smokes a bit while heating up if you don't clean it thoroughly.

I appreciated this grill once I first used it. However over the months the unit wouldn't get as scorching as it should and it began taking without end to heat up. The opposite night time the top plate fell off once I was grilling hamburgers. It was not from being put on wrong. I've had these grills with the removeable plates for years and understand how they go on. Thank goodness I had a set of potholders handy. After that the plate seemed loose. I might be throwing this out. I will not even donate it as a result of I would not need someone to get burned when the recent plate falls off. What a shame this grill solely lasted about 6 months. I've changed it witht the g-broil model and am very happy so far. I'll submit on that item in a number of months.
