Do you know that you have tear ducts not only at the lower, inner corner of the eye, but also about halfway up the upper lid, above the better-known tear duct? Well, I didn't know it was there until my eye doctor worked me in last-minute for a problem I was experiencing. I was sure I had a grain of sand trapped in both eyes - I live at the beach so it seemed to make sense. After a few days of struggling with the nasty pain of having my eyeballs continually scratched and eye drops not helping, I learned that I had chronic dry eye, and I was being injured by my own tear ducts!
They say that if...
review »Sometimes, regular eye drops just don't help dry eyes. It can be like pouring water in them. There may be some relief, but it does not help the overall irritation. Genteal lubricant eye gel is thicker, and it soothes the eyes with the thick liquid. It only takes one or two drops to work. The only drawback is the liquid tends to clump up as it dries. It also clouds the vision temporarily so don't use any heavy machinery immediately afterwards! The gel comes in a bottle or tube. For me, the bottle is easier to use as the tube is hard to hold. If you're like me, you may have trouble putting drops...
review »I use Genteal eye products all the time. An ophthalmologist recommended them to me and I'm hooked. There's several different types of Genteal products that are great for different levels of dry eyes. My everyday favorite it the Genteal Gel Drops. It's a moderate level of moisturizing and I really notice that they last a very long time. The Genteal Gel is great, but my only advice is to use at night before you go to bed. It make it a little hard to see since the gel is so thick. But the bonus is that you wake up with refreshed eyes!!
Genteal Lubricant Eye Gel is very good to use on my dry eyes. I get dry eyes frequently from using my contact lenses, and sometimes overuse, so I would simply place a couple drops of Genteal Lubricant Eye Gel into my eyes, and voila!!! MY dry eyes are gone.
This product can be found almost everywhere, from mass retailers such as Kmart, Target, or Walmart, and pharmacy stores, such as CVS, Walgreens, or Rite-Aid.
The bottle is easy to use and easy to squeeze drops out. Usually, some bottles are very hard to squeeze, especially when you'ore holding it right on top of your eye.

review »My sister purchased Genteal Eye Gel moisturizer for me when I was diagnosed as having dry eye. I learned that my fiery red eyes could be due to my age. After 40, the tear ducts produce less natural tears and can lead to irritation and red eyes. My eye doctor recommended another eye moisturizer, Optive, which did help but I found the Genteal Eye Gel moisturizer more effective.
I would highly recommend this product.
I have suffered from serious dry eyes for years. There are some eye drops that are OK, but most are not worth the money. Genteal is by far my favorite. My eyes feel moist and refreshed after using. They are a little on the pricey side, but you end up using them less than other brans so it all evens out.
As others have stated they do coat the eye and make things appear blurry for a few minutes so do keep this in mind before using.
Genteal Lubricant Eye Gel works good, but I still prefer the non-gel. The gel makes me feel I need to wait a little longer until it is 'soaked up' on the eyeball. Doesn't feel as 'soothing' as the non-gel eyedrops.
