A Well Made Metal Ruler For Drafting, Design And Crafting
I originally purchased this metal ruler when I started doing paper crafts and needed something small but strong and sturdy to use to make creases on paper, use to tear paper and for basic measuring. I like that it has American standard units of measure on one side and a metric conversion scale on the reverse side. It is only six inches long but if you need something for measuring things in that size or smaller it is a lot nicer to have that to use than to have something larger and longer that can get in the way. Since this I metal it is something that you can use with pens, markers, colored pencils and metal cutting blades without it getting permanently stained. It is thin and there is a minimal amount of flex to it and I have used this for a ton of different craft projects over the years. I love that it is thin because I can use it to slide it in between pieces of felt to flatten them or to shove polyester fiber filling inside ornaments without busting the seams on the edges of them. The only downside is that the numbers are small and can be hard to read if you are doing exact measurements. It is made in the United States and has a stainless steel body. One of the really nice things about this is that there is a curved end and a straight flat end. That comes in handy when you need to have a curve at the end of a straight line or want to create a completely straight corner. The numbers are printed on but I have never had any trouble with the ink rubbing off of the front or the back of the ruler.
