According to the cereal box (which I always read cover to cover), the cereal contains a perfect blend of five lightly sweetened whole grains. Supposedly, there are also crunchy oat clusters but I found them to be few and far between.
The cereal tastes pretty much like Multi grain Cheerios with a few measly oat bits thrown in. I am very fond of the taste of oatmeal and I enjoy it in every form - cookies, bread, and cereal. Overall, the taste of the cereal wasn't bad -- it just didn't have the punch of oats that I was expecting. The so-called clusters are so irrelevant in the cereal that it really doesn't add much to the taste of the Cheerios. Further, there is absolutely no crunch because the oat clusters are too small to provide that satisfying crunch that causes oat lovers to rejoice.
Overall, I'm not sure that this is a version of Cheerios that needed to be made. The classic "O"s haven't changed as far as flavor is concerned, and the added clusters don't provide any real impact in the taste.
If you're after a hearty oat cluster, there are other cereals that are more satisfying than Oat Cluster Cheerios Crunch. After pouring this cereal into my bowl, I have to say I felt a little duped.
