Variety pack worth it

4

These bars are the hard, slightly boring flavored granola bars. These are not flavor packed. They will fill you up and make you feel like you are eating healthier This is a good alternative to candy bars. The variety pack is the way to go because if you buy all one flavor, they get boring very quick!

Delicious granola bar

I love the crunch, taste & texture. My favorites are the Oats-n-Honey & Peanut Butter. They're not totally nutritious but close enough. They only have 12 grams of sugar in 2 bars & no trans fats so they're better for you than alot of other snacks.

Since I started couponing, I've greatly expanded the products I buy & try.  I had not had crunchy granola bars in years; only chewy ones. Not a huge fan of the chewy ones as they seem high in sugar, low in satisfaction. I am SO HAPPY to have discovered crunchy granola bars by Nature Valley! My favorite ones so far are the Roasted Almond and the new dark chocolate & nuts one (forgot the exact flavor).  Because I like those so much, and because the product is on sale at my local grocery store, I stocked up on several additional flavors this weekend. I can't wait to try them! The flavors include: pecan, cashew, sweet & salty (one with several nuts), and another box of roasted almond, of course. Since this product frequently has coupons, I'm able to stock up when they go on sale by combining the couopns and sale prices.  You wouldn't believe me if I told you how much I paid for the 4 boxes. Hopefully another good sale & more couopns will be available before I run out of these boxes.

Not nutritious but crunchy and delicious!

***Quick View:*** I often go overboard looking for nutrition, protein, or fiber in everything I eat. Sometimes, I just want a snack. My son asked me for a CASE of **General Mills - Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars** in Pecan Crunch for Christmas. I thought he was nuts. But now I know why he loves them so much. They are amazing! They're not filled with nutrition but they are all natural and easy on the calories and fat.***About General Mills - Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars***I have only tried the Pecan Crunch variety of these bars but I assume all the flavors are similar as far as texture and good taste. These have two thin bars in one foil pack. This, I assume, is because they are hard and crunchy and the thin bars make biting into them easier. When I first looked at one of the bars, it sure didn't look like granola and really, I don't consider these granola bars. I wasn't really interested in trying them but I did. AND WOW. I fell in love. The crunch, the taste, the ... well, the crunch and taste did it for me. The nutrition label is quite empty. For each bar (Remember, there are two bars per pack so double that if you eat both and you will.), you'll consume 90 calories and 3.5 grams of fat. You get just a gram of fiber and 2 grams of protien and not much else. Carbs weigh in at 14 grams. For me, this is an empty snack and I usually shun snacks that don't fill me with fiber, protein, vitamins or *something*. But these are all natural (*Whole Grain Rolled Oats, Sugar, Canola Oil, Crisp Rice With Soy Protein (Rice Flour, Soy Protein Concentrate, Sugar, Malt, Salt), Pecan Pieces, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Brown Sugar Syrup, Salt, Soy Lecithin, Baking Soda, Natural Flavor, Walnut Flour, Almond Flour, Hazelnut Flour, Peanut Flour*) and taste so good that I don't mind giving up a little nutrition for one or two of these bars. They make a great nighttime snack or before a workout energy booster. I try to eat just one of the two thin bars in the foil pack but I eventually end up eating the second one later. Still, even for both, the calories and fat aren't THAT bad and the fat is from canola oil and nuts which is not bad fat.I love the Pecan Crunch variety and my son has me hooked. We'll try a different variety next time but  I suspect I will favor the Pecan Crunch. They're just soooooooooo good. These bars are a little messy because they kind of crumble when you bite into them so plan on wiping crumbs off your shirt or desk. Crunchy, sweet, and satisfying. These bars come in boxes of six pouches,12 bars total for a few bucks a box. I literally bought a gross of them for my kid and he eats them in place of fatty candy and sweets. He will eat no other type of bar. **Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars** or bust!***My Viewpoint***I can't stay away from **General Mills - Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars**! I suppose it could be worse. I could be hooked on eating on candy bars or cheesecake. These bars are delicious and not over the top as far as calories and fat. And they're all natural so at least, if you choose these, you aren't putting crazy chemicals into your body. ***4 stars***. I do wish they had more fiber in them but ehh, I'll live.

NATURE VAL CRUNCH Bars, the ONLY ONE WORTH buying!

4

I have tried many and various other bars in my last 40 years and this - the original bar, I believe, is still the best. Not only does it have lots of fiber, but it gives the consumer a totally satisfying CRUNCH!  My only critique is that I wish it were sugar free.  Honey is great, but the sugars and high fructose ingredients make it difficult for diabetics to enjoy them very often.  Please consider making a sugar free bar, because if it's lasted this long, this can only make it last forever!

Something good for us which tastes like a goodie!

Here is something which is good for you which just tastes like a goodie -- Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars.  I must have eaten dozens of these things over the last few years and my favorite way to purchase them is in the "Variety Pack" assortment which includes Cinnamon, Oats & Honey, and Peanut Butter. Each serving is packaged separately in its own packet and consists of two bars.  Either the Oats & Honey or Cinnamon bars contain 180 calories with 50 calories from fat per serving, or 6 grams total fat, half a gram saturated fat, 29 grams total carbs, 2 grams fiber, 11 grams sugars, 4 grams protein, and 160 mg. sodium.  One serving of Peanut Butter Bars contains 180 calories with 60 calories from fat or 7 grams total fat, 1 gram saturated fat, 30 grams total carbs, 2 grams fiber, 11 grams sugars, 5 grams protein, and 190 mgs. sodium.  (Neither type of bar contains any trans fats or cholesterol.) All the bars are also a good source of iron (6 grams a serving) but their real value is in the  good, satisfying things they are made of -- rolled oats, grains, nuts, and various kinds of nut flours.  Eating a granola bar early in the day or midafternoon will boost energy and may help stave off an Oreo temptation later. **CAUTION:** When the folks at Nabisco called these bars "*Crunchy*", they weren't kidding so chew carefully when you enjoy them.  Breaking off a piece by hand and sucking on it for a while prolongs the enjoyment and also makes it easier to chew. **TASTE TIP:** These bars are ideal for dipping into a cup of hot coffee, which makes them easier to bite into, enhances the flavor and boosts the satisfaction level of all their good ingredients.
