Most HelpfulI have a sweet tooth, there is no doubt about that, I am also addicted to chocolate in the worst way, and since I was recently diagnosed with diabetes this is a real problem. The diebetes is minor at this time and the doctor says that if I just lose 10 pounds I will probably be able to be off meds, and just control the diabetes with diet and exercise. The fact is with my horrible sweet tooth losing weight is very difficult to for me. When I discussed my sweet tooth with the nutritionist she said I did not have to give up sweets entirely, but that I did need to be more smart about what I consume. ...
review »Hmmm Fiber one peanut butter bars..these are great tasting bars that contain 9g of fiber, which is 35% daily recommended amount.
These bars taste sweet kind of like caramel in a way, its actually a little too sweet because of its sugar content and high fructose corn syrup which is disappointing, but otherwise the fiber and whole grain oats make this a much better snack then a little debbie snack cake.
These bars are nice, small and convenient so its easy to pack for lunch, and its satisfying for 150 calories a bar...speaking of calories compared to the other bars in the series of fiber one bars,...
review »I purchased a box of Fiber One cereal bars when they were on sale at my grocery store. This was the last flavor left on the shelf, so my expectations were low - oats and peanut butter sound boring together. But I was surprised by how tasty they are! The cereal bar tastes like a Rice Krispy treat with peanut butter chips and frosting drizzled on top. This is definitely a diet-buster, but I like eating one occasionally for dessert.
I have Curves bars and Quaker bars in my pantry right now, but I like these better. They are more substantial and taste much less artificial, with no funny aftertaste....
These General mills fiber one eats and peaunt butter bars offer a healthy alternative to just a general granola bar, with the added fiber. And I would say that most people I know, believe the fiber is in there by the results after eating (not to be disgusting). But I would agree, they can leave you gassy and bloated. So you have to weigh the pros and cons.
Taste wise they are delicious, especially compared to the mocha flavored ones. They do leave your mouth slightly blatchy afterwords though.
