General Hospital Review Summary

"Mob, crime, love, lies" ... General Hospital has it all! Having been on the air for over forty-five years, this ABC daytime soap opera follows the goings-on in Port Charles, a fictional waterfront community in New York. This soap had its heyday in the 1980s with the Luke and Laura storyline, which had a whole nation following. Fans know that if you like hospital dramas and comedies such as Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs, you'll love General Hospital. They readily admit to being addicted, recording the episodes daily on their DVRs, as the show is making a return to what it's all about, "telling great stories." Whether the story is about the the mob drama or the employees in the hospital, we are "guaranteed a juicy plot." Longtime fans of General Hospital do wish that the writers would stick more to the history of the show that is well-known by all the fans and use the veteran actors more, not adding any more new actors.

i have watched genral hospital since the early 60's - i ave seen actors come & go - i really love the show. i must say the writers need to stop changing the history of the show & they also need to use the veteran actors more & stop adding so many newbies!!!

I've only been watching "General Hospital" for a couple of years now, but I am addicted! This show is wonderful and very entertaining. I find myself drawn to the characters and cannot stand to miss an episode! I DVR the episodes daily so I can watch them at night after I get home from work. I would recommend this soap opera to everyone!!

I have been watching General Hospital for most of my life! My mom has watched it most of hers as well! It is the greatest soap in daytime. The acting looks more realistic, the sets seem so real. I TiVo this show everyday, and am so invested in the characters and plot lines. I do wish that they would be more consistent in their storytelling, let some more of the veteran actors and actresses get more airtime! Give some of the "background" actors more screen-time! And don't drag out the stories for so long that we get bored with them and just want them to end! But, everything else is superb! I love... review »

I love General Hospital. I've been watching it since the day I was conceived! Ok, maybe I shouldn't have been but hey, I didn't know better and there was my mom hooked as well. I like that General Hospital is different but I'm sooo tired of all the deaths. I know some characters have to leave but I'd much prefer them to go off to another city, state or country for whatever reason than to die. My biggest issue of late is that they're killing off all the characters I loved: Georgie!!! Come back Georgie!!! She was so cute and smart. General Hospital is by far one of the best soap operas there is! I have been watching it for many years now and every year it gets better and better. You cannot help but relate to the characters and their storylines. Right now is the perfect time to get hooked on GH because the storyline has never been so good! GH is in the middle of a huge hospital crisis and the drama and suspense in each episode leaves you wanting more. General Hospital is my favorite soap.I love the characters and the dialouge is sharp.However, I am tired of the mob.When it was first introduced, it was intriguing.However, its just boring now.i'm tired of being shot and threatened? Where is the love.I LOVED Jason and Sam, but they broke them up.I liked Maxie and Jesse.They killed him.Loved Dillion and Georgie, Alexis and Ric, and Carly and JAx.Broke em up.Soaps are about romance.GH needs to remember that.They should listen to their viewers before they don't have any("Liason" is a joke).

I've been watching GH for over 6 years now, and every single day i am looking forward to 3 or 10pm because i am always curious to what's going to happen, the show keeps you guessing. You never know what's going to happen or who's going to rise from the dead until you watch it.

Can you believe Diego is really the text message killer, i mean who would think that. I can't wait for Robin to tell Patrick that he is the father of her unborn baby, i think that he would change Patrick but you never know the twist.

I HAVE BEEN WATCHING GH SINCE I WAS 12. I AM NOW 42! SOMETIMES YOU HAVE THE MOB DRAMA AND DREAMY JASON AND SONNY. SOMETIMES IT IS ABOUT THE COPS GOOD AND BAD. SOMETIMES IT IS ABOUT THE EMPLOYEES IN THE HOSPITAL, BUT EITHER WAY YOU ARE GUARANTEED A JUICY PLOT AND A GREAT STORYLINE WITH BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!! GH ROCKS!!!

I love general hospital! I have watched it since I was a child watching with my mom. I love how they bring back old characters all the time and I am so glad that they make it fun to watch. Even the spin-off night watch is great. Can't wait to see what is in store for Jason and Elizabeth!

I love the show. I just think that the writters need to come up with new ideas. It is kind of borring after a while.some of the people are unique i like how they add new character and keep the older ones too. It is interesting to see what happens and who ends up with who!
