Our family actually has two microwave ovens. We use a simple one for everyday items such as popcorn. We use the GE SCA1000 Advantium 1.4 Cu. Ft. Over the Range Microwave Oven for "cooking on steroids." The good news about this oven is that it does a lot of things really well. The bad news is that you will actually have to read the owner's manual to figure out how to cook with it. It does both conventional and microwave cooking.
