Geico Review

A couple years ago, our family switched to Geico Car Insurance.  Between my husband and I have we have tried several car insurance companies from State Farm to Erie Insurance and Nationwide, and as a paralegal long ago and far away I had to wheel and deal with many a car insurance company to get claims paid after an auto accident.

I apologize for sounding like a Geico ad . . . and Trace Adkins is one of my favorite music artist -- and he rocked in Celebrity Apprentice so he would be my choice.

Driving to pick up my babysitter I was in a hit and run.

A very nice person with two big dogs in her car pulled over and gave the police a statement knowing that no one would probably believe me on my own.  

The police took the report, I called Geico and they were right on top of it. Within minutes on the phone they had the person's name, DOB, address and last known insurance company.  I was set up with an estimator locally, and they could also do the work right then - you drive up get your estimate and leave your car. They even arrange the rental car for you.

Two days later- shooting pain I thought it was a heart attack. It was a pinched nerve from the accident.  Geico took care of that too.

What did I do? answered some phone calls -- got regular updates in my email box and filled out some forms.  That's it.  My car is fixed good as new, my emergency room bills paid and my car rental was no problem. 

Have I had any problems with them? Nope, not one, not a change in insurance rate, just a call back to rate their service.  Since I was dealing at the same time with Nationwide on a homeowners claim that didn't go so smoothly, you can bet I had lots to say!

Thanks Geico Car Insurance you made my day.

PS -- later when getting my car inspected they also immediately faxed a current copy of my insurance to the inspector -- now THAT's service.
