The Gear Head web cam pulled up perfectly in both yahoo messenger and windows live.  Windows XP and Vista were both able to recognize the web cam and make use of it immediately after plugging it in.The picture quality was good with the color reproduction on average with a camera in this price range.  The focus worked reasonably quickly and was able to lock in without a lot of hunting.  Loading the software provided on the disc the camera was able to locate and use the face tracking features.  There was minimal lag and the camera was able to keep up with most normal movements sitting in front of the computer. Overall the performance of the camera was above average and a bargain for the purchase price. This camera will work great for sharing holidays with family who live far away and for more every day things. It is a wonderful addition to the digital cameras and other forms of media so we can share with those we love around the globe.
