Gateway laptop Reviews

This laptop wasnt my first choice but for financial reasons I ended up purchasing it. It is almost 2 years old now and I cant tell you one thing that I have had to fix or have repaired on it....and let me tell you im rough on it. Not only am I online daily but I also download music and videos and you cant even notice a difference in the processing speed as I am still doing many other things including surfing the web while all of this is going on. When I got this laptop it was only the second computer I have ever had......I had a rebuilt HP that ran windows 98, so when I got this one, I really saw what a computer really was.  I got it at Fryes Electronics in Indy for $550.00 (that was including an extended warranty).  So obviously the price was great.

This is an awesome product. Great for the everyday user and as long as you treat it and all of your electronics with respect, they will last long and you will always benefit from them. The Gateway P-7805u Notebook is great, it does everything a gaming computer should. It does run hot, so make sure to buy a cooling fan - the webcam is good and it has a great card reader built in. The video is great as it is HDMI and the keys aren't to close together. All around great product. The only con I have is the weight of the product, a little lighter than 9 pounds would be nice, but i know it's durable!

I used my laptop 24/7 for personal and business.  This is my second one.  I loved the first one so much, that I bought a second one.  No problems at all with these laptops!

Gateway laptops are just more trouble than they are worth. Not only do I own one, but I know other people who also own them. At first they seem very nice, easy to use, and reliable. But I had mine for about 6 months and it broke down on me. The power jack went out in it and it would no longer recognize that it was plug in so no longer charge. Every one that I talk to has also had this very same problem. I even went out to get mine repaired and had a new jack put inside of it. It worked for another 4 months and did the same thing. It will no longer charge without having to arrange the cord is strange...
