Gateway MT6840 Core Duo Notebook Review

This is a nice computer and Vista has a lot of nice bells and whistles...if you want to regress to speeds slower that those that you may have experienced 4 ot 5 years ago.  (Actually my 4 year old Dell Optiplex desktop that I bought on ebay for a little over $100 runs circles around this computer in terms of performance.)  I added a flash drive to take avantage of Boost, but the incease in performance is imperceptable.  Speaking of imperceptable I contacted Gatway for advice/help on increasing the performance and their support is imperceptable.  The suggested options that would double the price of my computer.  I asked if they could provide assistance to converting back to XP and they won't even respond.  Fact of the matter is that I must have said something that offended them because I am apparrently on their black list. They refuse to answer any of my cooespondence no matter what I write to them about.  They must understand that I am disspointed and are writing me off as a lost cause.  Well, their sentiment turned out to be a self fulfilling prohecy as I will no longer purchase gateway products.
