I knew I wanted a laptop because of the convenience of it. You can take it anywhere. I came across the Gateway...

Most HelpfulI bought my Gateway M-Series three years ago and it for the most part has been great to work with. I am not a computer geek, but I enjoy navigating my way through the many different folders in the start menu.I find it really easy to work with when setting the personal settings that the Gateway comes...
review »I purchased this computer over two years ago at a Best Buy on Black Friday. This computer is a workhorse. I use it for everything from checking email, writing papers for college, using spreadsheets and gaming. It's screen is bright, however a little on the small side. Fortunatly the computer comes with a VGA out port and is able to use a supplementary screen for either a primary or a seconday monitor.

I use it mostly for school work and doing work and research on the internet. I am on the internet all the time and haven't had any issues. Originally when I went to the store to purchase a laptop, I was not intending on buying this specific laptop. I was actually looking at a Toshiba that I saw in the newspaper ad for $500. review »I bought this computer back in 07 and it started out pretty well. Untill a year later where it crashed about 7 times in two weeks. My hard drive failed and my DVD drive fail. Since it was out of warrenty Gateway refused to help but wanted me to pay like sixty dollards for a phone conversation on how to correct the problem. I already knew what had be done. I bought a New DVD drive that does for dirt cheap on ebay and then installed it. It's been working fine ever since.
This is the longest lasting laptop I have even owned. It is easy to use. I have even spilled water on it. After drying out over night it turned right back on, 2years later it is still running fine.
