I own a gateway laptop and I love it. I have had my computer for over a year and have never had a problem. I am on my computer at least once a day. It lets me do whatever it is I need to do. I am not very good with computers but I can navigate with this computer without a problem. I find that this computer is very reliable and I can do whatever I need on it. It is very easy to use and I love working on it. My computer was not at all expensive to purchase so I am amazed that it is so reliable. The work that I mostly do on my computer is simple. I owned a Gateway computer and it worked great at first, then it seemed like it was fix and repair daily.  I had the lifetime telephone support and was told that they gave me the wrong restore disk but refused to ever send me the right one and more than one tech told me that had been my trouble all along but they never agreed to correct the problem and did not want to really honor the lifetime support since they were losing money the longer I kept my computer running.  I also purchased a gateway for both of my sisters with the same agreement and they eventually tried to force them… read full review »

   Bought a Gateway GT5240E desktop computer with an AMD 64 processor. Nice computer, looks great and is fast. I had a major problem with Windows Explorer and needed to do a recovery(using recovery CD). It went through the whole recovery process okay but would not reboot. I finally decided to delete partitions and try the recovery disk again. It worked!!! Never had to delete a partition before to reload O/S!!! Re-installed Windows okay but failed to load most of the drivers. Tech support gave me 2 options to do, both failed. I am extremely impressed with my new Gateway MX3228 laptop computer.  I needed something lightweight because I travel a lot.  Though the sales person at the computer store tried to up-sell to a 17" screen, I like that this one is thinner and smaller.  I always turned my nose up at the cow-print box of Gateway, but don't judge this computer by its cover.  I take this thing everywhere with me, it slips inside my backpack or totebag, I don't even need a computer bag for it.  I did get a USB hub for it because it only has 2 ports. Owner of Gateway desktop, and 2 laptops.  Also had a desktop at work that out lasted several other brands. These computers are the best as far as I am concerned.  Very user friendly, durable, and long lasting.  Tech support is phenominal.  First one I ever bought I had a problem when hooking up to internet.  I phoned Gateway, the tech had me type a few things in to computer, read back from screen and told me the modem was bad.  They overnighted a new modem to me and led me through removing the bad one and installing the new one.  It took less than a half of… read full review »

I love my Gateway computer.  I was going to school for Web Design and needed a nice, reliable computer.  I purchased my Gateway and have had success.  I get everything I need to get accomplished with the Gateway computer.  Of course, since I did need a nicer computer, it was a bit more expensive.  I got the computer, a digital camera and a router and it was just over $2000.  A little steep, but worth it for what I was going to school for.  Overall, it's a great… read full review »
