I bought my gateway dx4300 refurbished and i dont regret it at all. Ive had it for some time i got it with a quad core 8gb of ram 1gb ati graphics loaded. I love it its super fast tons of storage and loads of ports. The graphics card isnt the newest but it handles almost anything i throw at it. plays sims 3 and far cry 2 which is really all i play. Build quality is suprising coming from gateway. But since there owned by acer i think they have stepped up there game. i expect this pc to last for some time to be honest. no issues yet runs smooth. I have it paired with a gateway 23inch hd monitor and it looks great together. Im not a hrad core gamer and this pc handles all my daily tasks and more. the quad exceeds my expectations i came from a core 2 duo and will nto go back . the 8gb of ram make things fly. adobe cs5 runs like a dream its just a solid performer for the cash and i will buy from gateway again.

Ahhh, my DX4300. Has it really been two years? And yet you still feel as lovely as the day we first met. I remember that day, when you came to me fresh from a warehouse with a free widescreen monitor and multifunction printer/scanner. You were one hell of a deal then, and darling, you still are now. The charms of your 2.7GHz dual-core processor remain undimmed by the ravages of Moore's Law. And we both know you came out of the box with more RAM and PCI-E slots than any man should need -- all that dependable DDR2 is still enough to make jaws drop as you saunter by the hefty memory requirements of modern applications. I know you're a little self-conscious about your 300W power supply, which like most PSU's in prebuilt units is just enough to power your components without much overhead for a new videocard. I just want you to know it never made me feel any differently about you, and your Radeon HD 3200 integrated graphics provided a surprising amount of juice for my gaming craving. But I know you're going to love putting your 20 amps of 12v rail into that new low-wattage Radeon HD 5570... DX4300, I love you. And I hope we can be together for a long, long time.

I put a movie in the computer an it showed good like your watching it on your home tv.You also can listen to music while your doing something else on the computer like making a powerpoint for a presentation or writing a story or playing a game or just look for imformation you need from the internet.

I recently purchased this computer because of its key features.  This particular model afforded me the opportunity to have a large amount of memory to handle all of my graphic designs and printing needs.  I was particularly interested in being able to have a computer that could house the enormous amount of storage needed for graphic software.  The other computers I used in the past could not accommodate my needs. Additionally, I respect the fact that this model is efficient.  The one drawback is that the front panel of usb ports,  sd/mmc, etc is oddly placed.  I didn't realize that having disclosed behind a panel was the route I should've taken. I realized it the hard way when my grandson came over to insert some of his food into one of the drives. I was impressed with the price.  Actually, I got a reay good package deal, to include the printer.  I am proud of my decision to purchase this product.  Good price.  Good product.  Dependability based upon it brand alone.

Our computer was several years old and very slow,  I had been nagging my husband for a new one when ours crashed.  I wasn't very upset.  We bagan researching different computers and deals at my father-in-laws, he is very knowledgeable with computers.  It was between an Acer and the Gateway.  For the money we couldn't loose with the Gateway.  It has Window's Vista and all the basic programs we need.  It has 6.0 GB of memory, our old one only had 2 GB. We did have a problem with the computer about a week after we purchased it.  But I believe this was linked to a virus through email and at this time we did not have our virus protection set up on the new  computer.  It actually crashed, yet unlike our old one, all we had to do was insert our reboot CD and we were able to use our computer again within about ten minutes. I love that you don't have to go to the back of the computer tower to hook up my camera or any other device.  It has extra ports on the front.

Just purchased the new system a couple of weeks ago.  I love it.  It has a massive 640GB hard drive.  It features a AMD athlon X2 7550+ dual core processor with 512KB x2 cache memory for efficient system processing.  I allows me to have 5 and 6 open programs at a time, including photo touch up software.  It comes with a trial Trend Mirco virus software.  I have used Trend Micro for years and it beats the others hands down. It has a nice software package preloaded - including Microsoft works (unfortunately no Word).  It runs on Windows vista but came with a free upgrade to the new Windows when it is available to the public.  This computer has all the power I need.  I am not a techie but consider myselft to be somewhat advanced.   It has 8 USB ports - plenty to plug all the essentials into.  Pictures, movies, music all download quickly and correctly.  My set came with a Gateway 22" monitor and Epson printer.  The large flat screen monitor is great - it has clarity and HD quality picture.

I am an Internet addict. I do everything online - play games, watch tv and movies, blog (5-6 blogs/week), social network (Facebook, Twitter, etc), email, a little bit of web design and just about anything else you can think of. I'm also very spoiled lol. My husband bought me this PC because my laptop died on me and I needed something powerful and dependenble that would last a few years. This is definitely it! - This PC is super fast!! Can you blame it? - Windows 7 Home Premium - AMD Phenom II X4 810 quad-core processor - 8GB DDR2 - ATI Radeon HD3200 integrated graphics - 1 TB HDD - DVD RW Super Multi - Ports upon ports upon ports! - 8-Channel (7.1) High definition audio - Multi-in-one digital memory card reader The list goes on. So as you can see, if you're a person like me who LIVES on their computer then this machine is perfect for you!! I'm not used to having such a powerful PC and often it just really amazes me how fast this thing. I can have so much going on at once without speed or performance being affected. It's just awesome. It was expensive though, especially since we had to purchase a monitor and speaker system separately. But once we put it all together it turned into this super machine that I never want to let go of!! It's really hard to get me off this thing at night to sleep. Also it has a dock on top of the tower for holding a small mobile device. It's like a little tray with 2 USB ports there for convenience. I use it for my iPod Touch.
