As a regular PC user, I was careful when I went shopping for my laptop. I am so glad that I decided to buy the Gateway Laptop Computer. It is just what I wanted in a laptop, lightweight, easy to use, has a great support system, and was a very reasonable price.

i  have  recently  purchased  a  new  gateway  desktop   computer   it   came  with  a  twenty   two  inch  monitor  that  will  connect  with my  cable  tv  service   so   that  i  can watch  tv  when  i  am  on   my   computer.  very  very  nice  feature.    it  came  with  240   gig   hard  drive...... but    i  upgrade  to  a   two   terrabyte   hard  drive...    this   gateway  computer  is  very  very  fast..      it came  with  alot  of software apps....    the monitor also pivots  90 degrees..    ...

STAY AWAY FROM GATEWAY

Bought 2 of the same computers august 2008 and September 2009 one of them crashed can’t use it. Called best buy where we got them they said they could fix it for $300.00  so I called Gateway  (by the way they don’t put their phone number on anything so I did a reverse look up in the yellow pages)  called told them it is only 1 month over the limited warrantee they said it can be fixed for $199.00 plus shipping. Tim said that’s why offer the extended warrantee, I said now I see why. You buy a computer and expect it to get more use out of it thn  13 months. ...

I have spent at least 2-2.5 hours on the phone in the past 2 days with no results, one person says, "yes, we will fix it."   The next, a supervisor named Aaron, pretty much said, "if we were in the business of fixing things we wouldn't make money."  Huh?   We spent probably around $2500 for their piece of trash monitor that after a year seems to die on everyone and Gateways response is screw you pretty much.   Even Microsoft acknowledge the issues with the Xbox and will fix it for customers outside of the standard warranty, Samsung the same thing, but not Gateway.   I am beyond disgusted...

I love gateway computers. I did once own a compaq presario, and I had nothing but problems. My gateways which I have owned 2 and used them on the job, gave me no problems at all. Very versatile and never broke on me. the quality is great and I'll stay with gateway from now on.

I HAVE JUST COMPLETELY HAD IT WITH THE HORRIBLE TREATMENT AND CARELESSNESS OF GATEWAY EMPLOYEES.  I HAVE BEEN WITH OUT MY WORK COMPUTER FOR FIVE MONTHS NOW AND EVERYONE AT GATEWAY HAS JUST TAKEN A TOTAL DISREGARD TO MY PREDICAMENT.

I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO TELL ME NIGHTMARE TO EVERY VENUE I CAN INCLUDING THIS LETTER TO CUSTOMER SERVICE.  THOUGH I FEEL I WON'T GET ANYWHERE HERE DUE TO THE BLITHE UNCONCERN WHEN I SPOKE WITH WADE AT GATEWAY HEADQUARTERS JANUARY 23RD AFTER HE RECEIVED MY COMPLAINT DIRECTLY FROM THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

Purchased $2700 laptop 5/06. Between 5/06 and 6/2/07 approx 3-4...
