Where do I begin? I was prescribed this medication for weight loss by my doctor. He also prescribed a water and potassium pill with the medicaiton to aide in weight loss. My experience with this medication was horrible. My body went through changes. I took the medication for two weeks. I felt that if the side effects had not subdued by this timeframe I would not need to take the medication. I lost weight however, i was so miserable. I had constant headaches, mood swings and dizziness. I would be up all times of the night eventhough I would take the pill early in the morning around 6 am after eating as instructed. I was instructed to take 26.5 mg. However, I did half the dosage to start out with. I would not wish the side effects of this medication on anyone. It was horrible. It took my body some time to get back into feeling normal. I was very sluggish the first couple of days after getting off of the medication. that is even considering that I weened myself from the medication by taking it from daily to every other day and stopping altogether. I personally would not recommend this medication due to the nature of the side effects.

I absolutely LOVE adipex. I lost weight very quickly with a minimal amount of effort. It totally suppressed my appetite. It boosted my energy and my metabolism. The only side effect I disliked or suffered from was dry mouth but it was more than worth it! In the first week I lost more than 2 lbs. I could visually see a difference within two weeks. I would take it in the morning about 30 minutes before breakfast and by the time it was time to eat, I had to force myself to eat something because I just wasn't hungry at all! Due to the dry mouth, I drank a lot of water so I stayed super hydrated which is another plus. The only other downside to taking the adipex is, I had to schedule a check up with the doctor every 30 days in order to get refilled. I'm used to my doctor just giving me about five months of refills and sending me on my way but with this particular prescription, you have to be evaluated every thirty days.

I was first told about this product from a number of girls I work with. They had such good things to say about it and normally i would be skeptical but i could see the weight they had lost. Everyone that talked about it sounded like they were from an ad straight off tv. Now that i have tried this product, i sound just like them! It really works and gives you tons of energy. It is an appetite surpressor so you seriously just forget to eat... Food will be the last thing on your mind, you will be too busy cleaning and scrubbing down your closet walls (or whatever random thing you can find thats left to clean!). I was 184 when I got on these pills and after 4 months was 140 pounds. I kept it off for a year until I got pregnant again, but after I had the baby i got back on and am currently still on them. This past time I was 180 when i started and I have been on them for about 2 months off and on (just dont have the money for them) and I am now 163 pounds. I highly recommend this to any overweight person... I know how you feel, i have been there and you feel like theres no hope, but there really is! Just try, you'll see!

I gained nearly 100 pounds over the last ten years while taking anti depressants.  I finally decided it was best to take myself off of those anti depressants and try a new approach.  Once i was off i immediately lost 20 pounds.  After losing the first 20 without any effort, i began an exercise and healthy eating routine.  I then lost an additional 20.  My body than began to plateau.  I went to my primary care physician for help and she suggested Adipex P for a "boost".  I took the 37.5mg pill every day for 4 months.  I had to visit my doctor each month for a check up to ensure there were no major problems.  I was only given the pill for 4 months because it is addicting.  The first month i lost 15 pounds, second month i lost 4 pounds, third month i lost 8 pounds and the last i lost 8 pounds.  The first month comes off whether you work out or eat healthy or not.  This pill is like speed, more so than your average diet pill.  After the first month, your body gets used to the pill so it affects you differently.  I am glad that i took the pill but i'm not sure if i would do i again.  It took weeks for me to feel normal after stopping the medication.  I couldn't get out of bed i was so tired without the pill.
