I received this as a gift from my sister who has the same hair type as me. We both have thick, wavy that tends to frizz, hair. Thus, we can either straighten our hair which takes forever, or not, which doesn't look as good. We both love this mousse. It does take a lot of the mousse to do what it needs to, however. It also doesn't come out like normal mousse, it is kind of runny instead of being instantly poufy. It poufs up after a couple of seconds in your hands, however. It smells good, and it does a good job of defining waves, but doesn't help with keeping curls. I wore it all day the other day, and at the end of my day, the waves were still fairly well-defined in my hair, which doesn't generally happen with other mousses. It is not great for instantly making your hair more curly, but if your hair already tends toward curliness or waviness, then it would work great. That all being said, I don;t like that it takes so much of the product to do what it claims to do.

I don't know about you, but time is pretty precious around my house in the mornings when I am trying to get the kids out the door for school. I don't have a lot of time to spend styling my hair, let alone my seven year olds! Factor in the fact that she has naturally curly hair, that has a tendency to be frizzy and my morning could end in a meltdown easily! That was how it was before I found this wave defining mousse, now it couldn't be easier to get her ready! All I have to do is wet her hair down pretty good comb all the rats and tangles out and add a palm size amount of this fruity, fresh smelling mousse and she is ready to go! It has been a lifesaver! Alot of curly hair products we have tried have a tendency to weigh down her beautiful curls, or just not give her enough coverage and end up frizzy before she has even walked out the door. Not this one! It stands up and gives her the bounce you want your curls to have without all the buildup and gross stuff products can do to your hair. Not to mention that it isn't perfumy or strong smelling, so she doesn't smell too grown up and gross when she leaves. It is great, and we love it around here!

Garnier products start theirr appeal to me by their scent. I love the smell! So when I needed a product to keep the curls, I decided to try them first. I did not like the tube of sculpting cream-gel (see my review for details), but decided to try their mousse. My hair is fine, with a little bit of natural curl in the bangs (and only there--the rest is straight--go figure!) and I wanted something to accentuate the natural curl. It comes out really slowly--so slowly I thought maybe I was doing it wrong. The directions say to shake it and turn it upside down and that's what I did, but I have to push hard on the top to get it to dispense. I guess this can be a plus, as it wouldn't accidentally trigger a mass of messy mousse. What I love about it (besides the smell!): It's creamy, not sticky. It works in well. It doesn't crunch when it dries--especially if you blow dry your hair. But even when I just work it into my wet hair and go, it still has a softer feel to it than other brands of mousse that I've tried. It did help keep the curls in my bangs tighter and even put some wave into my thin, straight, lifeless hair. I would highly recommend this product!

I just started using the Garnier Fructis Style Wonder Waves Wave-Defining Mousse, and it has saved me so much time on my hair!  I have very thick, frizzy, slightly wavy hair and to get it straight takes me about half an hour and leaves me very overheated from the hot hair dryer and the hair straightener.  By using Wonder Waves Mousse, I can just comb my hair after my shower, put in some mousse, and go!  If I let my hair air dry without product, it gets frizzy.  The mousse accentuates the waves and controls the frizz!  Yay!  The only con is that it takes two big mounds of mousse to control my shoulder length hair so I would imagine that if you have long, thick hair, you would have to buy the mousse often, but when you find something that works like Wonder Waves Mousse, it is so worth the cost!  I find that I can usually even sleep on my hair with the mousse in (if it is already dry) and it will still look cute enough to work with in the morning if you don't have a lot of time to style it.  I would recommend Garnier Fructis Style Wonder Waves Wave-Defining Mousse to anyone who has thick, unmanageable hair with any wave in it!
