I got a great deal on Garnier Fructis Style Full Control Hairspray, at our local CVS store.  It was $2.99 with a $2 rewards coupon for a future purchase.  I bought milk, which I always do there, so the hairspray worked out at 99 cents.

I bought this because the hair spray that I used to buy doesn't exist anymore. I bought this thinking it was comperable. It left my hair feeling sticky and waxy. In the evening i would have these white flakes on my hair. I only spray the front top of my hair, not all over. And no, it is not dandruff.... read full review »

I love this spray.  I pretty much only bother with hairspray when my hair is completely out, otherwise it's gel or something else, and this is my go-to bottle.  I HATE crunchy overdone hair, and Ii'm willing to miss a function to rewash rather than deal with it.

I don't go crazy with the trigger so my hair doesn't get hard and it's only been crunchy one time, but I freely admit user error on my end that day.  The hold lasts all day, and it smells good.

Garnier Full Control Flexible Hold Strong is good stuff.  Maybe it's all in how you use it ...

If you just spray a small amount of this hairspray on your hair, it doesn't seem to hold.  If you spray a little more on your hair it become stiff and crunchy.

This hairspray makes my hair a little too stiff.   I prefer a more flexible hold.  The scent is pleasant and not overwhelming.

I have very fine straight hair.  It is usually a nightmare to find hairspray that works for me.  This stuff works.  If I load it on it makes my head itch - so don't over do it.  The hold lasts all day.  It smells kind of fruity.
