Garnier Fructis Full Control Hair Spray, Non-Aerosol, Extra Strong Review

A few weeks ago I was visiting a friend and she asked me if I use Garnier Fructis hair spray.  She knows that I use a lot of hair products and that I like to review things so she gave me a bottle of Garnier Fructis Style Full Control Non-Aerosol Hairspray to try out.  She bought 2 bottles of the spray and didn't like it so she gave me the 2nd bottle to test and review.

All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't pay for this hairspray as I would have been disappointed that I wasted money on it.

This spray is touted as being ultra strong and ultra firm and it is.  Unfortunately the spray is very wet so the ultra strong and firm style I got was not the one I started with.  I tried this spray every day for a week and suffered thru bad hair day after bad hair day.

Not sure if there was something wrong with the bottle too, but there is definitely something wrong with the spray.  I carefully styled my hair with my hair dryer and spritzed some spray lightly all over to hold the style.  It seemed to come out of the bottle in a fine mist, but once it hit my hair the strands clumped together and dried looking all stringy looking and awful.  What's more, the weight and wetness of the spray totally flattened my hair on top.

Thinking the problem was with the bottle, I tried again the next day but held the spritzer part under really hot tap water to clear away any buildup that may have existed.  But no luck - I got the same awful result. Oh, it held strong and firm all day, but it looked hideous.  I couldn't get a brush thru it to restyle without ripping or damaging my hair so up it went into a ponytail.

Bottom Line - This spray did nothing but ruin my hairstyle and then held that awful style all day until I washed it out. Not good.  Not recommended at all, especially for anyone with fine and/or limp hair.
