I've used it like two times, it smelled great But didn't go according to my expectations. So not something I would recommend. Everyone has a different hair type tho, so If it doesn't work for me: it can work for you.

I thought I would give this a shot for my colored hair since I want to keep my color looking good. I didn't like the garnier fructis fortifying shampoo for color treated hair at all. It says its for color treated or permed hair it made my color fade out really fast. The only thing I liked about it was the smell. It smells really good like citrus fruit but it didn't do a good job. It made my hair even feel greasy. I wasn't pleased I had to wash my hair again the next day because it left my scalp oily. I noticed to that I got buildup in my hair. I had a lot of it which caused my hair to be itchy. It was just overall cheap to me. It was too harsh for my hair and made my hair feel gross. It honestly felt like I didn't even wash my hair. I wouldn't use this shampoo again even if it was free I wouldn't use it again. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody your just going to be extremely unsatisified.

I used Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo for Color Treated Hair and did not care for it at all. I used this in conjunction with the matching conditioner. Between the two of them, my hair was not the most manageable and clean. I like some Garnier products but have had many items that did not work well for me. Because of this, I usually do not try a lot of products from Garnier. I had some good coupons so I decided to give it a try. I regret buying this item. Effectiveness This is not a very effective shampoo. This did not seem to clean my hair well. After using this shampoo in conjunction with the matching shampoo for two weeks, I started getting build up on my scalp and it was itching and flaking. I have long, fine hair and the conditioner did not detangle my hair. This product did do a good job of preventing my color-treated hair from fading but did not cleanse well. There are much better shampoos out there. Pantene beats this by a mile! Scent I liked the way this smelled. Unfortunately, this shampoo does not work as good as it smells.

My hair is usually very flat on the top which looks really boring. This shampoo helps lift my hair up on the top and gives it more shape. The fruit extracts in the shampoo are what help my hair be shiny and glossy. The scent is so fruity, it smells like a fruit citrus and makes my hair smell wonderful. The smell lasts for several hours even after the shower is done. One thing I am not too happy with is how the shampoo is very runny. I prefer the thicker shampoos but this is something to get used to. I did not notice it kept my hair color in for much longer than a regular shampoo. I was expecting the color to hold in longer with this shampoo as it is meant for color treated hair. I was rather upset with that but it does leave my hair in a good shape. I also have a friend that had used this product for her permed hair and she said it kept in her straightness for longer than a regular shampoo. The cost is affordable for the average family.

This is a great shampoo for color treated hair. I washed my hair daily and this really kept my color from fading! It also did a great job of moisturizing my hair. My hair never looked dyed! In fact, most people thought that it was my natural color. I love how well this shampoo kept the color in my hair. I highly recommend it to anyone who dyes their hair, especially the stronger shades like red. Effectiveness Kept my dyed hair looking bright and fresh! I did not have to dye my hair as frequently!

My hair gets oily really fast, especially in the winter. I have a hard time finding shampoo that cleans my hair thoroughly enough - without leaving it so dry that it's unbearable. I always feel like I have really clean hair after using this shampoo, and only minimally dry hair after. It does take a good handful (but I have a lot of hair) to get a good foam going with it. That really is my only complaint though, it takes quite a bit of product to be effective, and so I go through a bottle pretty fast. I'm not sure how good this product would work for people with dry hair (see the other reviews), but I defiantly recommend it for us oily haired types. Beyond the oil part though, it works real well on just plain dirty hair too. I play rugby, so I often come home just plain filthy after games or practice, and thanks to Garnier Fructis I tend to be clean and smelling good after a quick shower - which is more than I can say for my old shampoo. This stuff really does work. Combined with a good light conditioner, it does wonders for oily/dirty hair. Scent LOVE the smell, and it combines really well with almost every other bath product scent I've tried (body wash, conditioner, etc).

Garnier Fructis Fortifying Sampoo ofr Color Treated or Permed Hair is an excellent product. I've been using it for about 10 or more years. I just love the way it leaves my hair all smooth and soft. It's a great cleanser and I choose it over all the other shampoos out there that I've tried and I've tried quite a few. I've even recommended it to others who have used it and love it.

Garnier's "fortified" shampoo for color treated hair is not so much fortified as it is lacking. Don't let the commercials fool you into thinking this is a quality shampoo. I've tried worse, but this is just a cheap shampoo. Luckily I had a good conditioner (NOT Garnier) that helped the final results so I could still use the bottle I bought. But I won't buy it again. I'm not dismissing all Garnier products though, because I love some of their skin care products, and hair stylers, but as far as shampoo goes, I need something more. I have naturally curly (frizzy) hair that dries out easily (and my color treating definitely doesn't help!), so I need a shampoo that is ACTUALLY fortified. Obviously my first choice would be professional products, but I'm on a tight budget, so I need to find quality alternatives that at least don't dry out my hair more, like this does. The second I put it on I could just tell it was a cheap shampoo that was going to strip my hair instead of help it.

I have been using Garnier Fructis fortifying shampoo (for color treated hair) for my hair that is dyed blonde. I use the shampoo every other day, and it does not dull the color. As for bringing the color back to life, I am not sure. The shampoo only requires a small amount to be used so the bottle should last. Also a small amount is easy to work into a lather for all over coverage. I never find myself reaching for the bottle a second time because the first squirt was skimpy. The shampoo has a strong scent that seems to be on the citrus side, but I like it so it does not bother me. The product does not work miracles, but provides me a clean head of hair and possibly the promised results. I have many split ends, and it is not like this product can solve the problem, but I am sure it helps in prevention. After washing my hair, I feel as if it is thoroughly clean while giving off a gleaming shine.

I purchased the color shield version of this shampoo after high lighting my hair. I have used the body boost version a long time, but was told that shampoo for color treated hair is a good idea. So, I bought it, tried it..For the price, it was a failure. My hair was super flat, like it hadn't been washed in days and just felt heavy. I tried styling it, but it didn't help at all. I suffered thru one use, then went to the store and bought my normal fructis body boost shampoo and got the results I normally do-which were wonderful.
