Garnier Fructis will leave your hair in worse condition than it was when you started using it.This is a fact and I have even talked about this shampoo and conditioner to many of my friends and every one of them agrees. Let me explain, I have pretty healthy hair to start out with. My hair is very long, straight and naturally light blonde without many split ends or problems. I take good care of it by not coloring it, using styling products or blow drying it ever. Usually I use Pantene or L'oreal shampoos and conditioners and those products work fine as long as I switch them every month or so. I tried a bottle of Garnier Fructis because, honestly, they have awesome commercials and that is what sold me at first. So I try it and immediately noticed that it was very hard to brush through my waist-length hair. Usually I don't have a problem at all. No matter how many times I tried to get a brush through my hair it would be tangle-city. I wanted to give this brand a chance so I continued to use the product daily, I'm not sure if it was build up or why but my hair was no longer shiny and healthy looking, instead it became dull and lifeless. It also seemed weaker and more prone to breakage, I had never noticed so much hair in my brush in my life. I even took a closer look at the strands of hair that used to look so healthy and shiny and saw that they looked extremely brittle. Now I twirl my hair a lot and I tend to look at it up close often and not only did it look unhealthy but it did not feel as silky soft as it used to be. Once I saw the distinct change in the condition of my hair decline I chucked out the Garnier Fructis (we have a not so endearing name for it in my house-Garnier F*ckthis) I changed my shampoo and conditioner to a new one called L'oreal EverPure and it has restored my hair almost to it's original health and I am much happier with that brand than with Garnier.
