My scalp is incredibly dry. I dye my hair every month to cover up my gray roots and this seems to aggravate my scalp even more. I also have flaking and dandruff buildup from all of the hair products I use. I decided to try Garnier Fructis anti-dandruff dry scalp shampoo. After using it the first time I noticed that my scalp was less itchy and irritated than before. After using the product for a week my scalp had stopped itching all together and there was no redness or irritation whatsoever. The reason I gave this product a 7 is because this shampoo didn't take care of my dandruff problem at all. I still had a lot of flakes even after using this shampoo for a month straight. Bottom line, this shampoo is great for those of us with a dry itchy scalp, but doesn't work well at all for those individuals with dandruff. Effectiveness This shampoo was extremely effective in relieving my dry, red, irritated, itchy scalp. I would give that aspect of the product a 10. However, this shampoo wasn't effective at all in combatting my dandruff. It made no difference at all in the dandruff department and that's why I give it a 7. Scent The scent was pleasant. It wasn't overwhelming and didn't smell like chemicals. The Herbal Essence line of shampoos and conditioners smell much better in my opinion.

I tried this anti-dandruff shampoo when my regular big name shampoo was out of stock. I was not impressed by its ability to control flakes or itching but it did do a nice job of cleaning my hair. My hair did not feel oily after use and looked soft and clean. I like this brand but was not impressed with this shampoo. It is fairly inexpensive but I would rather buy a generic head and shoulders shampoo for the same price. I think others work better for a little more money which is worth it. Effectiveness I thought it was good at cleaning my hair but I did not see improvement in flakes or itching. I would not buy it again because I was not happy with the results and could have just used a basic shampoo. Scent Nice fresh scent that smelled great in the shower. The scent wasn't too strong and did not last after the shower so it won't conflict with my perfume. It was my favorite part of using the shampoo.

I bought this product because I had a coupon for it. I have not had much luck with garnier products in the past, but this one is one of my favorites. After I finally tried it, I decided that I liked the product but probably will not purchase it again. Its a lot more affordable than the head and shoulders shampoos. It does a pretty good job at preventing dandruff but I don't really like how dry it makes my hair feel. Its kind of difficult to wash with it if you have thick hair like I do. It does not have an extremely potent smell. Its a very fresh and clean scent which is a great factor. Some products have such a strong scent that I get tired of using them quickly. The garnier anti-dandruff shampoo does not lather very much. I feel like it took a lot of product to be able to cover my entire head (as I said I have very thick hair). Overall, I like the product, but I feel like Head and Shoulders is a better drugstore brand of dandruff shampoo.

I trust the Garnier brand but this product did not work for me. I purchased this product from a local store on the strong recommendation of the store manager. I have dandruff problems and wanted a solution to this problem. As per the instructions, I rubbed the scalp with the shampoo and left it for 15-20 minutes in my hair and then rinsed it off with warm water. I kept using this shampoo thrice a week. After using this product for about a month, I noticed a change in my hair quality and my hair felt soft. However, I still used to feel my scalp itchy and dry. I continued using this product for two months but there was no difference observed. I had earlier purchased other products of Garnier and they were quite effective compared to this product. The fragrance is really good and it remains for a long time after having bath. The only positive effect it had on my hair was that it reduced the hair fall.

I decided to try this when looking for a new dandruff shampoo. I wasn't sure it would be very effective, but was pleasantly surprised. I noticed a difference from the very first wash. No more itching, redness, or flakey scalp. Other medicated shampoos usually smell bad. This had a very pleasant scent. Even my son comments on how good it smelled. I HAVE very fine hair and most dandruff shampoos leave my hair looking and feeling greasy and limp. This shampoo left my hair feeling soft. My hair also was very shiny and had lots of body. Effectiveness I have very dry scalp and have a hard time finding a product that works well. This product really delivered. Not only did it take care of the itchy dry scalp it left my hair looking and feeling great. Even my significant other noticed the difference and comments that whatever I was using was making my hair look great. Scent Most products that are strong enough to treat dandruff smell terrible, but this had a very pleasant smell.

I really like this shampoo. It smells great! It also feels great to wash my hair with. I can feel it moisturizing my dry scalp and hair! The end results is bouncy, shiny, silky hair! My scalp feels so much better and the dandruff is gone. I use this shampoo when I have a bout of dandruff. Effectiveness I think that it does a great job of refreshing and moisturizing my dry scalp. A few manufacturers have stepped forward with products to combat both problems and one of them is Garnier Fructis Anti- Dandruff Dry Scalp shampoo. Shampoo Facts and Commentary: Garnier Fructis Anti- Dandruff Dry Scalp shampoo is a shampoo made to stop flaking and itching, with special ingredients that fight the problems associated with dandruff and help return the scalp to normal. The shampoo has a fruity/soapy scent that is nice and shouldn't offend anyone. I have dry scalp and dry hair, so flaking and itching are not uncommon for me. I don't use anti- dandruff and/or dry scalp shampoos exclusively because my problems are not that bad. Instead, I alternate these products with other shampoos, with the anti- dandruff or dry scalp product making its way into my rotation about once per week. This is about all I need to keep my slight problem under control. Does Garnier Fructis Anti- Dandruff Dry Scalp shampoo take care of dandruff and itching? The answer to both questions is yes, sort of. The flaking is lessened after using this shampoo, but I can't say that the itching is much different. I like that the product produces a tingly feeling on the scalp because it leads you to believe that it is doing something worthwhile. Effectiveness This shampoo is okay at controlling dandruff. It does seem to lessen the flaking, but the itching is not diminished very much. Scent The scent is one of soap and fruit, and it seems pleasant and acceptable.

Garnier Fructis Anti-Dandruff Dry Scalp Shampoo is good for anyone that has light dandruff or just suffering from dry and itchy scalp. This product works quite well for those instances. I can't vouch for heavy dandruff problems because that isn't the case here with anyone in my household. However, my husband gets a touch of dandruff a few times during the year. I have dry scalp. The first thing I noticed when I first used this product was the nice scent. Most dandruff shampoos smell like medicine or have a strong chemical smell. Garnier Fructis Anti-Dandruff Dry Scalp Shampoo actually smells pretty good with a light fruity scent to it. Effectiveness Like I said earlier, nobody in my house has a bad dandruff problem. My husband uses this shampoo often for mild cases of dandruff. Garnier Fructis Anti-Dandruff Dry Scalp Shampoo works well for him. He likes this formula of dandruff shampoo over the ones that have a harsh smell. Nobody likes their hair to smell bad! I use this shampoo every so often for dry scalp. It does a good job of restoring moisture to the scalp. This is probably also a good preventative shampoo for anyone to use if they are prone to dandruff and think they may be getting it soon. Scent While not outstanding in the scent department, it is much better than other dandruff shampoos on the market when it comes to smell. Garnier Fructis Anti-Dandruff Dry Scalp Shampoo doesn't smell as fresh and full of citrus scents as their regular shampoos, but does have a mild fruit scent to it. I'd take that any day over a harsh chemical smell. If you have dandruff or dry scalp, give this product a try. It will probably take care of all your scalp problems!

I was really excited to read all the reviews, and went out to buy a bottle. I have oily, dandruff-prone hair. After using it for a few weeks, I noticed more frequent itching and ACNE. Yes, acne. On my scalp. It was disgusting! Also, the bottle broke on the bottom, and keeps leaking out blue shampoo. It's a mess! I've stopped using it, and switched to head and shoulders, and my acne and other problems are pretty much gone. Maybe it's different for every head...but for me, it was no good.

Garnier Fructis Anti-Dandruff shampoo for Dry Scalp is a terrific product. As I have aged, with the repeated coloring of my hair, I have developed dry scalp. I do not have the "flakes" associated with dry scalp, but definately suffer from iitchy scalp. Over the past few years I have tried many different products for dandruff or dry scalp, none of which worked for me. I still had an itchy scalp and most of them left my hair in less than optimum condition. I had used Garnier products previously, (not this one) and when I saw that they had a dry scalp formula I decided to give it a try. At least I knew it would leave my hair in good condition, even if it didn't cure the itchy scalp. So I bought it. To my pleasant surprise, after a couple weeks I noticed the itch was gone. No more problem, Yeah. So time goes on, withme using the product and when I run out,,to my dspleasure the store didn't have the dry scalp formula, so being in a hurry and having no shampoo at home I bought a different Garnier shampoo...the one for color treated hair. Unfortunately after only a fw days, the itch was back...Yuk...so I went out and bought the dry scalp version and no more problem. I am a loyal fan!
