I've had my nüvi 350 for a little over a year, now and it's really handy, but it's not perfect. When it gives me directions to residential addresses, it seems to be off by a couple hundred feet, which can mess you up with finding the right house if you can't see the house numbers.
If you need it to come up from a powered off state, be prepared to wait 3-4 minutes. Doesn't sound like much, but I can cover a lot of territory in that time and find that I've missed a good turn-off point. The biggest problem of all I have with it is that I don't have it installed into my dashboard, so I have to turn it on and off with the power button every single time. Over the last year, the power button has gotten very cranky, and I really have to mash it to get it to power on and off. Between that and the long boot-up time, I have to make sure I get it powered on and connected to the satellite reception well before I actually need it.
A minor annoyance: there's nothing in-between about the voice prompt options. Either they're on, and kind of overboard, or off totally. When it's just told me 300 feet ago that I need to turn, it doesn't need to tell me again when I get to the turning point.
I do really like that I can be listening to my MP3s, and it'll pause those and give me directions, then go back to my music. I also really like that I can set the voice prompts to give me directions in a British English accent. It makes me giggle.
Being able to put all that music onto an SD card is also great. I have it all on a 4 Gb micro-SD card, in the Garmin with an adapter, and then I can pop it into my phone and be able to change up just once what I listen to in both devices.
