This is often a highly rated GPS unit, for good reason. It's easy to use right out of the box, and the small portable size (about the size of a PDA) means I can jam it in my purse every time I leave my car. The built-in battery means I can take it walking with me. There's even a pedestrian function on the unit!
The unit speaks street names which is a big help. Instead of "turn right in 0.1 miles", it says for example, "turn right on Washington Street". On that note, it also has funny quirks which I don't mind too much. For example, when telling you "turn right on Martin Luther Dr" it speaks "Martin Luther DOCTOR" rather than "Martin Luther DRIVE", and does this anytime a street name contains "DR"
On the downside, the unit is pretty expensive compared to the competition. It also comes with a bad quality suction mount that won't stick after a couple weeks use. For such an expensive unit, the cheap suction mount is a disappointment. If you buy the Garmin friction mount (it's like a stand with bean bags), it works excellent, but that's added expense on an already expensive unit.
Overall, I highly recommend this unit.
