The Garmin nuLink! 1695 GPS Receiver can be very comfusing for a person that is just trying to be familiar with the item. I say this because in the last few days I have been riding with a friend who has the Garmin nuLink! 1695 GPS Receiver and initially I was very impressed with the guidance and directions that it was giving. But today ride with my friend proved my initial opinion of the item to be totally different. Instead of giving short and direct directions, it gave us directions that would have takened us completely out of the way (luckily we knew exactly where we where going). Once we decided to take the known course, the GPS continued to tell us to get off at certain exits, again, misguiding us and if we had listened, we would have been going out of our way. Not one time did it say anything about recaluating for the destination o redirecting us, but it was consistent in the fact that everytime we were approaching a exit, it did inform us to exit on that particular exit, as I said that was the only consistent assistance that it gave...which was the wrong information.
