I recently travelled to Florida (Orlando area) with my children. Before our drive, I printed out mapquest dirctions to our hotel. The evening before our departure, my husband purchased a GPS system (advertised in our local sales circular) as a back up. I had made the drive numerous times and was familiar with the route. The trip went as expected and we arrived safe and sound to our destination. On day two of the trip, my children saw a television commercial for a children's buffet style pizza restaurant and begged to go for dinner. Not being familiar with the area, I asked hotel personnel for directions. After numerous reponses of, "Make a right...turn left at the shopping mall...proceed about a mile past the Walmart store..." I was thoroughly confused. I loaded my children into the car and my 10 year old suggested using the GPS unit. I removed the unit from the box and was able to key in restaurants and we were off to our destination within 5 minutes. We were directed to our destination with turn by turn instructions. The Garmin - Street Pilot c550 GPS Receiver is an outstanding product. I now use it for daily trips in my hometown.
