Now I know I can always find my way - a huge relief! It was really nice, when to be stuck in a traffic jam, to be able to take a new route home around the traffic, and know that I could still find my way home - with the Garmin. It's very easy to use and only requires touching the screen. However, I still haven't figured out (if it is possible) how to "look ahead" to see what follows after the next turn - this is somewhat disorienting on a trip longer than a few miles - to not know what comes after the next turn. Also, in the Washington, DC. area it doesn't handle freeways like the Beltway well. The instructions will often be "turn in 1 mile" but in reality it's not a turn (as in an exit) but rather following the bend in the road. That's why the look ahead feature would be handy, to have more perspective on curves in the road vs turns/exits. I still take a map or mapquest printout on trips with me if I'm going to an area that I'm unfamiliar with, but the Garmin is a great addition in terms of knowing that if I miss a turn or exit, I will be able "right" might myself again, rather than being endlessly lost. I'm glad I have it.
