Garmin - StreetPilot c320 Review Summary

What do our reviewers have to say about the Garmin Street Pilot C320 GPS? "I'd be lost without it." What does the Garmin Street Pilot have to offer? Many useful features, "it gives you directions, phone numbers, and helps you when you need it the most". The major problem with this Garmin GPS is that -like almost any GPS- it is not 100% reliable in city setting, as skyscrapers will often block the satellite connection. Simply put, this GPS is AMAZING! I love this thing. I have gotten my moneys worth 10 times over. It is a reat gift for someone as it is pretty expensive. It actually gives you directions, phone numbers, and helps when you need it the most.

We finally got a GPS system for our SUV and for our current Florida trip. I did the research and chose the Garmin Street Pilot c320. Price was really the number one factor in our choice since my Lexus has a GPS as does my Blackberry. We spent about $100 on the Street Pilot - we got a great deal - sort... review »

I have had this for a year and I love it.

I am looking into upgrading and have recommended this to my Mom and Dad. They use theirs and love it.

I did have to buy a heavy bag to keep it on the dash. The suction cup for the window was not very useful.

The voice is clear and gives you plenty of time to get into the right or left lane for a turn or exit. The screen is easy to see, and switches automatically into night mode, which is very useful for a twilight trip.

I have used the detour button when poor traffic conditions have arised and that has been very useful.

The time estimation is pretty much...

I originally bought the Garmin StreetPilot C320 for a road trip from Virginia to Toronto, Canada.  I had been wanting one anyways, but this trip gave me the perfect excuse to need one.

This navigation system worked really well.  Sometimes it can be frustrating because it takes about two minutes while it is "acquiring satellites" but that isn't too bad.  One thing I noticed is that when I used it in areas that I was familiar with, I thought there were times where I knew a faster route than the one the system gave me.  I love that if I make a wrong turn, the voice-activated person will announce...

The Garmin Streetpilot 320c navigator is an amazing device that informs the driver how to get to locations.  It gives not only a map, but also voice commands (even in a British accent if you so choose).  You put in the address and it searches it's database.  Then a map appears on the screen with directions and estimated arrival time.  You can also then save the address and create your own address book within the machine for places you plan to revisit. There is also a data base of places of interest, food eating joints, hotels, airports, etc. like that.  You can search those near where you...

I bought three of these last Christmas.  I bought one for myself, my wife, and my daughter.  This was a great invention since maps.  The graphics are great.  They are clear and concise.  It is very convient and I like the voice mechinism on it.  It was inexpensive especially when you buy it on a black friday.  It kepy my daughter from getting lost.  We use it when we go away for the weekend.  It tells you where the food places are near you and the hotels.  It is a great tool to get around when you don't know the area.  Kudos to the GPS.  The only problem we had was to the sunction... review »

I love my Garmin Streetpilot c320. I take it everywhere I go. When you go on vacation the last thing you want to do is be lost and waste your whole day looking at maps. Why not just type in where or what you want and be driven right there. I will never be without my garmin again. My husband uses it for work and loves it as well. If you don't travel a lot I still really suggest this item. A lot of the times an address will just say a street name and not have any coordinates with it. You just type in the street name and you are there. Another great this is that it gives you and arrival time.

Have had mine for a year and wonder how I ever got along w/o it. Because the suction cup doesn't stick, I put mine in my cup holder in center console. This is actually better because it's not so obvious and less likely to be stolen.

It has so many features that are not mentioned in the basic set up manual that comes with it. Be sure to download the full manual. Can save your favorite places, go back to recent selections w/o retyping, and find many things just by typing in the name.

While the unit is very reasonably priced, it cost me $75 to update the maps.

I love my street pilot so much that I bought my little sister one for her birthday.  Both of us are known for gettting lost or being late everyplace we go.  Now within a few seconds I have told my Garmin Street Pilot where I am headed and I am on my way . My stress level is so much less now-- it is hard to really explain unless you have this problem.  Although the buttons may be a little small this is not really a problem for me because I have small hands-- my boyfriend did think it was small but I said too bad it is mine anyway.

The Garmin c320 GPS is a life saver.  It helps me find restaurants, gas stations, drug stores, hotels in strange cities.  Takes me from place to place - even sounds like we have an extra friend.  We rely on our Garmin so much we've named her Helena and talk to her as she talks to us!  Only complaint - cold or warm weather - the device will not stay attached to the windshield so we place the unit in the console or someplace else in the car.  Then it sometimes loses it's connection.

We bought this for our selfs due to alot of traveling.  What we didn't know is that you have to pay an additional $90 to have it updated.  We didn't do it because I didn't think it was a big deal.  Well we were wrong.  Most of the time it can't find the address we put in, or it took us to an Walmart that wasn't even there!  Wood of wise...buy a better GPS or pay the additional $90.

On a trip from Manchester, NH to Rutland, VT my boyfriend and I used the Garmin GPS. We were running late for dinner reservations and i loved that the Garmin tells you what your estimated time of arrival is! We got there right on time and right when the Garmin said we would. I also like that you can search places on interest in the area! We found a great restaraunt and some cute places to go shopping!

My first GPS unit was a Garmin Street Pilot and it was wonderful.  In fact, I still use it in our second car.  Since then I purchased a Garmin nuvi 750 and really appreciate the added features.  I can't imagine traveling without a GPS.  When we travel, I throw it in my bag and use it in the rental car, they work for the entire continental US and they are a necessity.

I wouldn't take a trip without a Garmin. It has so many great features. The POI (points of interest) gives you addresses, phone numbers, and directions to almost anywhere. You can find hotels, service stations, shopping, restaurants....anything you could possibly be looking for on a trip. I like how it tells you how far each POI is. This is a good investment.
