The Garmin Nuvi 755T is a GPS that will help you get lost.

Comments about Garmin nuvi 755T Portable GPS Navigator:

Bought the Garmin Nuvi 755T 4.4 in. Car GPS Receiver after I got lost on the road while working on a project for a client back in July of 2010. Read some reviews online and research shows that the market is pretty much dominated by Garmin and TomTom, but many review sites stated that Garmin was more accurate so I went with Garmin. I specifically chose the 755T because it comes with lifetime traffic alerts/reports. The Good: The Nuvi 755T is small and compact, it is well constructed and the unit is sturdy. As stated before, it comes with lifetime traffic reports via a FM Traffic power cable that connects to your cigarette lighter plug. The unit comes preloaded with maps, and you get one free map upgrade upon purchase. The software has lane assist which is very helpful, and the unit comes a vehicle suction cup mount for dashboard mounting. The Bad: The Nuvi 755T is horrible! Battery life is short, and the greatest flaw with the unit is that it is inaccurate, which totally defeats the purpose of its existence! There was a time when I was travelling north on a street and it told me that I was travelling south and even displayed the streets in reverse as I was driving! I had to reset the unit and that corrected the error. There have also been a couple of instances where the Nuvi 755T directed me to the wrong address, too, which was a big waste of time. The touchscreen is horrible and it is always registering the wrong button when I am inputting addresses. Needless to say I am very disappointed with the product, gets 1 out of 10 from me.

Garmin Nuvi 755T GSP Gets Me Where I'm Going

By

from Vineland, NJ

Comments about Garmin nuvi 755T Portable GPS Navigator:

I received the Garmin Nuvi 755T GSP last Christmas and I love it. The Garmin Nuvi 755T GSP has a slim sleek look and it’s very light. I use it daily going to and from work even though I am going to the same place everyday. The reason I use it daily is because it has a lifetime traffic feature. This GPS has a FM traffic receiver that allows the GPS to get up to date traffic reports and then take you on the quickest route with the least amount of traffic. The directions are very clear because they are easy to see on the screen and the voice actually tells you the street names, not just turn left or right in 20 feet. Another feature I get a lot of use out of is the built in media player and built in FM transmitter. This allows you to download music onto your GPS, then sync the GPS to a fuzzy radio station, and then listen to music though you speakers. The last feature that I found very useful is the ability to link your phone and GSP through Bluetooth technology. This allows you to talk to someone hands free while driving in your car. If you also have the FM transmitter on, it will interrupt your music and you will hear the person through your car speakers. This GPS is not the cheapest but I feel it is well worth the money.

My Nuvi Garmin is AWESOME

By

Comments about Garmin nuvi 755T Portable GPS Navigator:

If this 62 yr old grandma learned to use the Garmin; you can too!!  The Garmin gives my husband and me freedom to travel with confidence and assurance.  My husband has congestive heart failure so I do all the driving.  With the Garmin we easily travel between MI, SC and FL.  Should my husband need immediate medical attention, the Garmin will lead us to the nearest hospital.  It will even help us locate motels and hotels along our travel route.  Last year I missed the final exit to my step-daughter's home in SC.  Got off the highway at the next exit, plugged in the GPS and within minutes was at our destination.  This year I am learning even more.  Now that we've arrived in FL, I select Points of Interest and can easily find the nearest department store or anything else I may want.  The directions are given in a percise and audible manner.  Volume can be adjusted to satisfy individual needs.  An absolutely awesome tool!!!

Good all around GPS

By

from Pasadena, CA

Comments about Garmin nuvi 755T Portable GPS Navigator:

I've had the unit for 3 years or so.  It has functioned reliably, and I perform regular Garmin updates.  The Lane Assist is useful, and the routes are usually direct.  I wish the unit would indicate whether it was detouring your because of traffic so you don't necessarily second guess the device.  Also, I wish it were more intuitive to set the device to avoid freeways.  The pedestrian mode is not too useful because of poor battery life.

All in all, it has been very reliable, and I use it regularly.  The free traffic is a must, and the ads aren't too obtrusive.

Garmin nubi 755T is a nice piece of technology

By

from Wilmington, DE

Comments about Garmin nuvi 755T Portable GPS Navigator:

The Garmin nuvi 755T has everything except blue tooth.  Please male and female voices come standard, but other voices (such as a vampire) are down-loadable, but these are not as clear as the default voices.  Lots of options (speed car is travailing, speed limit, time arrival, time left until arrival,  and elevation.  Usually pretty accurate, though sometimes takes the long way. It may also be a house or two off or on the wrong side of the street. At times it is difficult to get a satellite signal, especially if it is cloudy.  Life time traffic alert is a nice perk.

I'll never be lost again

By

from Cerritos, CA

Comments about Garmin nuvi 755T Portable GPS Navigator:

I have been waiting a while to get a GPS system for my car for about a year now. I did my research and decided to go with the Garmin brand GPS systems. I bought the Garmin Nuvi 755T based on both reviews I had seen and because it was on sale. I have not been dissapointed.Other than the intial time you turn on the system, the load up time has been fantastic. Mounting the unit was a snap. It has a large screen and easy to follow instructions when it's guiding you somewhere.. A friendly navigation menu allows you to easily enter addresses, POI, and whatever else you would like to do. It also has traffic updates for free. There are occasional ads but they do not in any way get in the way. It also has been, and most importantly, has not been wrong yet when giving directions.I love my Garmin GPS system and am very satisfied with the 755T.
