The Garmin Nuvi 755T is a GPS that will help you get lost.
Bought the Garmin Nuvi 755T 4.4 in. Car GPS Receiver after I got lost on the road while working on a project for a client back in July of 2010. Read some reviews online and research shows that the market is pretty much dominated by Garmin and TomTom, but many review sites stated that Garmin was more accurate so I went with Garmin. I specifically chose the 755T because it comes with lifetime traffic alerts/reports. The Good: The Nuvi 755T is small and compact, it is well constructed and the unit is sturdy. As stated before, it comes with lifetime traffic reports via a FM Traffic power cable that connects to your cigarette lighter plug. The unit comes preloaded with maps, and you get one free map upgrade upon purchase. The software has lane assist which is very helpful, and the unit comes a vehicle suction cup mount for dashboard mounting. The Bad: The Nuvi 755T is horrible! Battery life is short, and the greatest flaw with the unit is that it is inaccurate, which totally defeats the purpose of its existence! There was a time when I was travelling north on a street and it told me that I was travelling south and even displayed the streets in reverse as I was driving! I had to reset the unit and that corrected the error. There have also been a couple of instances where the Nuvi 755T directed me to the wrong address, too, which was a big waste of time. The touchscreen is horrible and it is always registering the wrong button when I am inputting addresses. Needless to say I am very disappointed with the product, gets 1 out of 10 from me.
