The Nuvi 750 is a wonderful product.  I purchased it in December of 2007 in preparation for helping someone move across the country.  I wanted to get one anyway and this gave me the perfect excuse.  Rather than have to concentrate on a map or directions, I wanted to enjoy the trip more.  One of the... review »

I chose the 750 Garmin because of the screen size.  After a short time I had a problem with the unit - it died when it was plugged into my cig lighter telling me no battery left.....Garmin quickly Fed X'd a new unit.  Then the replacement unit had similar problem and also the voice would have to be...

A pocket sized navigational system

Get big features for a small price with the nuvi 265WT. This widescreen navigation system is pre-loaded with maps and gives you spoken turn-by-turn directions. Add the hands-free calling feature and the 4.3-inch color display and you have everything you need to find your way.

I believe that they are available in Gray or Black

Features:

* Where am I? Dont ever worry about getting lost again. This device when turned on can tell you your exact location.

* Where is my car? Dont ever forget ever again where you parked.

* WideScreen!

* Photo viewer and MP3 player

I have no sense of direction. That is why my mother gave me the Garmin Nuvi 750 I was really excited. Let me tell you, this is one of the best presents I have ever received. What I like most about it is that it is very self explanatory; you can just turn it on and start using it. There is not need to read the manual because all the screens are very self explanatory. I have used it to go multiple places from just the next town over to cities that are a few hours away. With this GPS I can always travel with confidence knowing that I am actually going to get there and not turn around for hours...

Garmin Nuvi 750 is Good value for about $400.  It has all the features of the top tier model such as text to speech with the street names.  The more expensive model is twice the price and only comes with Bluetooth, ability to take cell phone calls.   Pay the higher price if you have to have that.

I like the Garmin model since it offers the bean bag dashboard mount as an accessory for extra $$ of course.  Better than using the windshield mount IMHO

The Garmin Nuvi 750 is my second car GPS, replacing a smaller model.  Both used the same windshield mount technique, putting unit where you can see and hear it without looking away from the road, and it warns you about trying to program it while you're driving.  That's important for safety.  You have your choice of a man's or woman's voice in English, and it also speaks more languages than most of us have ever heard of.

The maps are amazingly complete.  The unit announces turns a good distance in advance, including left and right, and then reminds you as they get close.  The voice is well...

The Garmin nuvi 750 GPS unit is reasonably priced with high-end features.  It requires an initial download of updated maps before using.  This took about three hours on a DSL connection so I did it overnight when I wasn't using the computer for anything else.  The unit worked perfectly from the start.  The operating manual is a bit light on details but much can be learned by going on-line to the Garmin website and browsing.  For example it took several trial and error attempts before determining how to insert a space between letters or words.  It may be because I am not familiar with the...

I am a person who really loves to get new tech items. Usually I take the time to read the manual and explore the item feature by feature. The Nuvi 750 didn't really require any instructions. I was able to open the box and use it without even looking at the manual. The touch screen is great and REALLY easy to use. I have recommended this GPS to all of my friends who are in the market for one. I originally purchased the Nuvi 205w which came to an untimely end when I dropped my digital camera on the screen. I immediately new that I would get another Garmin. When I started looking I found the... review »

The Garmin Nuvi 750 Gps Device was the greatest gift that I have ever received. The device has always given us not only great routes, but when traveling through a new area the device is fantastic at locating restaurants, stores, beaches, etc. While traveling through a downtown area at night that was new to us the device saved us from a traffic ticket. We were traveling through an area littered with construction signs and dark. We were struggling to see which was the proper direction to drive since the road was split with orange cones which caused the lanes to split nd reverse in odd directions....

The Garmin Nuvi 750 has saved us all kinds of frustration and gas.  My husband, a home health nurse has to travel many miles each day, often to unfamiliar towns and neighborhoods.  He was always struggling to find his way to new addresses.  Now he can track his progress and go directly to his patients' homes without delay.  If he gets a new assignment in the middle of the day or he can get an instant update on directions.  Also, the unit automatically tells him how to correct any wrong turns.  The Nuvi 750 stores addresses we use  repeatedly, so we don't have to enter them each time.  The...

Garmin is definitely the best GPS device out there.  A different brand came with our latest vehicle purchase and it's trash compared to our two Garmin devices we have.  We don't even use the other model.  We just unplugged it and took it out of the car so that thieves don't try and break our windows to get the useless device.  The maps are accurate and the Points of Interest are varied and easy to access.  It can turn on and find the satellites in less than one minute which is a big improvement over the older GPS device we have since it has the GPS satellite locations saved in memory.  The...

My husband wanted to purchase a GPS so we went to Best Buy.  The Garmin Nuvi was one of the more expensive versions - there were some that were in the $99 range and we paid around $250.

There were definitely features that drew us to this one though.  For one, the screen is large so there are no problems seeing it when driving.  Also, since you have to use the touch screen to enter in your locations, it's extra nice to have the large screen.

I also really like that you don't have to pay a monthly fee for something so interactive. That was a huge plus.

When we began using it we realized...

I was so excited about the Garmin Nuvi-750 but have been disappointed.  First of all it is hard to use as it isn't very intuitive for me.  It is missing many streets and doesn't seem to take me on the routes that would be the most direct.  The holder for my dash keeps falling off.  The information says you can download information from Map quest but that doesn't work very will.  It takes a long time to find a satellite and sometimes I can be several miles down the road before it finds the satellite.  I don't like how you have to start over if you want to look something up.  I tried to synch...

What would I do without my GPS system? I am so glad I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 750. There are models out there for several hundreds of dollars, which can be pretty expensive. This model is priced just right. No longer do I have to go on mapquest or google maps to print out directions. It's been such a small, but excellent change. It saves me time, paper and ink. I like how the announcer gives me enough time to prepare to turn left, or whatever. The map is clear, with the streets names really visible to read, even if you don't have the best vision. In addition, its very user-friendly. I am not much...

Not having grown up in the area I live now, I would frequently get anxious when going new places in unfamiliar territory.  My husband finally decided we needed to get a GPS so he wouldn't' have to constantly receive calls from me (he grew up here) asking where in the world I was and where I was going! :)

We did a lot of research and ended up with a Garmin, and I'm glad we spent extra money on it. Only once in a fairly rural area did it fail us (couldn't pick up our location, and it was actually rather comical as our car on the screen just kept spinning around and around for about 5 minutes!) but...
