I purchased my Garmin Nuvi 680 about nine months ago and it is the best money I've spent this year. Don't get me wrong it is pricey, especially compared to other units, but it is worth every penny. The things I love about it is the size, it is flat and I keep it in my purse when not in use. The blue tooth is a must have, it is great when you are on long trips because I am not a fan of the ear pieces, they annoy me, so this is an awesome alternative. Additionally, I have a Motorola Razor phone so my text messages sync with the nuvi and I can either listen or read them on the screen. I also love the traffic updates that are available (free for the first year then available via a subscription). They worked great on a recent trip up North, alerted me of an accident just ahead on I95 and allowed me to take an alternative route. I live in Maryland and took my Garmin on a road trip to West Palm Beach this summer, stopping in Atlanta for a few days on the way home. I've made this trip for a few years, and it was so nice not to have mapquest print outs all over the truck or having to pull out maps while trying to find a new store. I simple put the name in my Garmin and we were off it was fantastic! The only thing that I do not love on my Garmin is the reception when played thru the radio but the speakerphone on the system is so clear and loud that the radio feature becomes a moot point. Overall, if you are in the market for a GPS device this is the one, my friends with other units are jealous of mine and always want me to bring it because it is so compact and the screen is so large all can see it in the vehicle, it is hands down the groups favorite.
