We bought this in July of this year(2008). Wish we had it in England in May. IT would have saved us so much frustration.  It is clearly visual and so easy to use. My husband we travelling out of town this weekend and I programed in the address of his destination the night before and he was off and running with map and directions readily available the next morning. We attach it way up to the left of the front mirror because we've heard they are illegal in a few states (ours being one of them). This way it is not obvious, but our town has alot of police and I've never had a problem. I think as long as you're not playing with it en route you're ok. THere a a number of voice choices you can choose from for your audible directions which is a nice feature. I like how you just touch screen the state, town name and address and it's all there for you. We really didn't even have to read the directions it was so self-explanatory once  plugged in. IT is such a time-saver. I can't say enough wonderful things about it. It was a great investment and relativelly inexpensive for what you get.
