I received this GPS for free with the purchase of my new car and warranty.  Prior to having the GPS, I would always use Map Quest or one of the other map sites to get directions and length of time for arrival.  I have used the GPS to find places I had never been to and to also test it for places that I have been. If you miss a turn, it will recalculate and get you back on track.  It also keeps track of you ETA so you know if you are running late or not.  We also like to play with it a bit by picking different voices (and languages).  It gives you both verbal directions as well as mapping out...

I like my Garmin Nuvi 255, we borrowed one from a friends to help us find a venue in the town we live in, we'd never been there before and had to be there at a certain time. Since then, we've purchased one for our family, and use it in all vehicles. It has helped us out time and time again - locally (I'm very good at getting lost around town - it's a big city), this always helps me find my way, and if all else fails, I can click my faves. and 'Home' and get home from whereever I am.

We purchased our Nuvi 255 before a long trip.  How did we ever travel without it?  If a piece of technology could help a marriage, this one might be it.  My husband always drives and I am the navigator - need I say more.  Now I can blame it all on the nice lady with the English accent. Well where to start.  My sister had a garmin and I borrowed it.  WOW, I was hooked!  I keep it in my purse, so when I travel with others we just don't get lost.  My dad first bought a tom tom, then some other one now he also has the garmin.

I purchased this Garmin GPS and had never had any experience with GPS systems.  This was so easy to use right out of the box.   It is very simple to navigate and lots of nice features.  

I love this gadget. It gets me where I need to go. It has helped me find my way around H.untsville since we moved here. It has been a life saver at times. Great product

I am lost without my Garmin. I would recommend it to anyone. Have had not one problem.
