I asked for a GPS unit for Christmas.  I received the Garmin Nuvi 200 and have been very happy with it thus far.  It is easy to figure out, easy to program, and has gotten me to several different destinations successfully. — This unit is a basic, lower-end GPS that my fiance bought… read full review »

I took a trip to San Francisco with a friend and his friend. David, (my friend's friend), had just gotten the GPS system for Christmas. We didn't need the system going to SF, but on our way back it was necessary to use it. It would tell us to turn left where we couldn't turn left, then it would… read full review »

I recently purchased a new vehicle and among the various options I considered was an on-board navigation system (mostly for my wife, but I like toys, too).  The cost for this option was over $2000!!   I considered this to be a bit much.   I had experience with GPS units when I was into sailing, but quickly learned that there had been some major technological advances over the last 10 years.  After some on-line research and a first-hand look at several models in local retail stores, I opted for the Garmin Nuvi 200W… read full review »

For the price, this is a great little GPS!  I have had trouble with it finding satalite signal, sometimes taking as much as 5 minutes.  This is frustrating when I am already running late or just wanting to get somewhere!  It fits easily in my purse and is hand size.  Overall great buy.… read full review »

My husband bought me a Garmin Nuvi 200W for my birthday back in February. I have owned this item for less than six months and I can't imagine a road trip without it, particularly with our 4-year-old daughter present. Let me briefly explain some practical uses for this device. Our family has had great success with the many features of the Nuvi: —… read full review »

I bought my 70-something dad a GPS for Christmas last year.  It was a Garmin i-series, which is apparently discontinued.  That model was not pre-loaded, and would only hold maps for PA, MD, OH, WV & parts of NY.  So I returned that one and got the Nuvi 200W.  What a difference!  The touchscreen is great, and I like how you can either see a full-screen map or a split-screen with half map and half written directions.  The voice is loud and clear, and with over 6 million attractions, you can't go wrong in finding a restaurant, place to shop or hotel while on your… read full review »

This is a great starter GPS.  It's the first one, that I've owned, but I've used several.  Including Garmin and Magellan models.  This model may not have all the bells and whistles (MP3, text-to-speech, etc.) of some competitors (even ones that are less expensive), but the easy to use interface makes it worth it to me.  My wife had it out of the box and navigating within 15 minutes (she's not at all techie, but has had very limited GPS experience).  The unit itself is quite small (thin, that is - - the screen is quite big and readable), and mounts easily using a… read full review »

I wanted a good GPS with a little larger screen and a reasonable price.  Since this one only uses maps for Unted states and i dont travel out of the country I save by not spending extra for maps i will never use.  It is dependable and I enjoy using it.  I did have to purchase a charger to use in the house and also a cable to connect it to my computer since it doesnt come packed with those cables.  Still well worth the price under 300.00 even counting the additional… read full review »

This is a great little unit with a touch screen, database of places to eat, stay and shop and a rechargeable battery.  I love how compact it is.  It is very easy to use with it's touch screen and great database of information.  The picture is clear and it gives turn by turn directions.  It is very portable since it has a rechargeable battery and a slim design you can easily throw it in your purse and take it with you.  We are having a great time with… read full review »

I am in love with my Garmin because it is the most wonderful thing. For my town it doesn't have the most updated maps because my house isn't even on it but it knows it's way around. For work I have to run a lot of errands in different parts of town and it helps me navigate like a pro. I use it traveling all the time and has wonderful step-by-step directions. I would recommend this to anyone that has trouble finding their way around or that isn't good with… read full review »

All I needed was a GPS, If this is YOU ? This is all you need, It will take you where you want to go. Just that simple. The screen is a perfect size for windsheild mounting( I put mine up by the rear view mirror). I would highly recomend this GPS for everyone. I got one for my wife, she feels more secure out on the road, just knowing it's there for her. Bottom line, best gps for the money. —… read full review »

If you are looking to start out using a gps unit then the Garmin-Nuvi 200W GPS system is a great place to start. From it's reasonable price tag to it's no extra thrills like no mp3 player, I have found the Garmin- Nuvi 200W easy to use and very accurate straight out of the box. I have found it an cheap way to get… read full review »

Love this unit. I never get lost anymore and I don't have to ask anyone for directions and hope they know what they are talking about. this is great to have on long trips, but even better in town when you just don't know where the closest McDonald's may be found. Just type in McDonald's and you'll see the nearest… read full review »

I received the GPS as a birthday present and LOVE it!  I am on the road a lot, and often add appointments along my route, so I was constantly calling my hubby- "I am here, tell me how to get to..."  One of the features I like is the ability to find restaurants, shops, etc.  So… read full review »
