Easy to read, easy to use, has lifetime map updates and a nice sturdy cord. My old Garmin ended up with a kink in the cord from wrapping it around the unit when not being used but this cord is much sturdier. Processing Speed Not the fastest in loading but it gets me where I am headed. Map Quality & Accuracy With the lifetime updated maps I am pretty much guaranteed to end up where I need to be. Ease of Use I am not good with technology and this GPS is very easy to use. I also love the big widescreen. It took some getting used to because it does take up a bit more window space when suchioned to the window but makes it very easy to read especially for someone like me who needs glasses for small print.

I bought it last year to replace an old one. Unlike my older one, this GPS has a satisfying screen. It can recalculate the route quickly to catch up with my driving. Even in the strange busy big city, I need not stop my car and reset the route only if I have updated the map before I start out.

what a great device! i love the fact that it has lifetime map updates. my previous GPS did not and that was very frustrating. i'm always current with the roads. easy to read and follow. also like that it warns me of traffic delays.

I purchased this Garmin as a Christmas present for my husband and he informed me it is the best present I ever got him. It gives the option of one free map update within 30 days of purchase, which we did, and i will admit, it did take quite a while,( I think a lot of people had gotten GPS's for Christmas and had the same idea, so the website was jammed), other than that everything has operated perfectly without a hitch. The large 5 inch touchscreen is easy to use, not super sensitive, and offers a very clear picture with no glare. The suction cup mount it came with works very well, haven't had any problem with it coming off. The feature my husband likes the best of this GPS is if you are driving in a familiar area as your starting point,and know a better route than than the GPS first gives you,(because we live in a rural area, and satellite view routes aren't always the fastest), instead of just telling you to please turn around,as some other GPS systems have done,  it will recalculate the route and give new directions from the place you are at, and very quickly. Overall, great product.

Very pleased with the lifetime maps, traffic is a bit of a gimmick as it isn't too awfully accurate. I love the design, thin and clean, easy to read screen with items on the right side (altitude, distance to target, time to destination, etc Would recommmend this unit any time, look for it on sale though as it is on the high side as of 1/2011.

I started using it without reading the user manual! You plug it in and go! I was afraid it was going to be an intimidating device for this newbie GPS user. I like that it has lifetime traffic and maps (will save a lot of money in the long run!) and it has lane assist, speaking the names of the streets coming up (great if you are driving alone and can't look at the device). Nice sized screen (5"). It has fun search features to find nearby restaurants, businesses, etc. I highly recommend it!

I absolutely love my Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT. I have heard so many people complain about the cost of updating the maps that I made sure to get the one with the lifetime map updates. It has been completly worth it. Just the other day I thought I knew exactly where I was going, but without the Garmin I would have been driving around for a while. I almost didn't want to believe the directions the Garmin was giving me, but it got me to where I needed to be perfectly. I can't imagine going anywhere without now! Love the larger screen. Makes it very easy to see while driving.

Okay I have to admit I was kind of hesitant about buying a GPS but now that I have my Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT I am in LOVE!! I use it everytime I am out driving!! I was leaving a concert and the policeman directed us a different way because of a road block and if it wasn't for my Garmin Nuvi I would have been completely lost!! The Garmin Nuvi has lots of great features!! I especially love the LifeTime Traffic and Maps!! My husband always brings it with us when we go on vacation to make sure we dont get lost! Which use to happen but not anymore!! My kids are always making fun of the voice of the lady talking and telling there daddy to listen to her she knows where shes going! haha! The screen is easy to read and I love that you can type in a location and it has a search where it will find exactly what place your looking for, this is a great feature when your out and remember you have to run somewhere but want to find a shortcut! It has saved me so much money just by showing me shortcuts and I would highly recommend this product to everyone!!

I bought this GPS on sale during the Black Friday sales and got it approximatley 50% off. Prior to buying this GPS, we owned a older Garmin Nuvi GPS. We loved the older Garmin, but after 1 year, the maps needed to be updated and purchased. The price of a map good for 1 year was almost what a new GPS would cost, so we decided to replace it. When I saw this one with the lifetime maps, I knew it would be worth spending a little more. I also love the larger screen. I purchased the Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT in November. We started really heavily using it in February during a few trips. The format of the maps, the spoken directions, and the settings are all very wonderful. The new GPS allows you to put in your cars fuel mileage information, and whlie driving, it tells you how economically you are using the fuel (depends on how fast you are going and stopping and going). It also gives you the posted speed limit of the road you are driving on. If there is a traffic jam coming up, the GPS lets you know and will give you the option of taking a detoured route. There are settings to avoid toll roads, highways, u-turns, traffic. It has so many points of interest, but I feel like my old GPS was a little better at finding things a little further than 3 miles away...this may be due to the fact that this newer GPS has more points of interest and more to scroll through to find something you may want. With the new GPS, we have encoutered two problems. First, the maps seem to already be outdated. This isn't a true problem, because we do have the lifetime map updates. I have not yet tried to install a map update however, so I cannot comment on the ease of the process. We were looking for an ice cream shop, and locked in a Marble Slab into the GPS. It told us one was one mile away. We followed the directions and when it said arrived, there was no Marble Slab to be found. We even parked the car, got out and walked around and we could not find the ice cream shop. On a second incidence, I had to attend a class at a location that I had never been to. I put the address into the GPS and it could not find the street that the place was on. My husband encountered a time when he knew he was supposed to make a left and the GPS told him to make a right. My only other issue with this GPS is that it did not come with a case. Our first GPS had a case in the box which was very conveinent. I was expecting there to be a case included with this GPS so when it didn't have one, it made it awkward to store it until we bought a case. Finding a case to fit this size screen is a little difficult. The Garmin case was too expensive in my opinion.

My life would not be the same without my **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT. ** I drive a lot so the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT **ensures that I always know where I am going and that I get there on time. It helps me as a driver for work, as a mom and when I am out on the town. First, the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT **helps me with my job as an Insurance Adjuster. In this job, I am required to conduct 3-4 appointments a day all over the city. At the beginning of my day, I simply enter each address into the Garmin. Then, as I go from appointment to appointment, I just recall the address that I need to go to next and in an instant, the Garmin points me in the right direction. Second, the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT** helps me when I am driving my kids around. It never fails that when I have my kids in the car, we have to make some kind of detour to stop and pick up milk, diapers or something else that we have run out of. So instead of spending time remembering the quickest route to the store from day care, I can just recall the Target that I want to go to and let the Garmin do the work for me. Finally, the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT **helps me when I am out and about on the town. Want to try a new restuarant? No problem. I can search for it on the Garmin and then let the Garmin direct me on how to get there. No more trying to find a gas station or local attraction. Instead of wasting time driving around looking for these places, I can rely on the Garmin to find them for me. Some of my favorite features are: 1. The detour feature. If you come across one of those pesky detours or a lot of traffic, you can exit press the Detour button and the Garmin will provide an alternative route, if available. I remember the days of trying to find a way around an accident on the highway and with the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT, **I don't have to worry about it. The Garmin is programmed with alternative routes and the ability to see other options available on the road. This prevents you from driving around detours or waiting endlessly in traffic when there are other ways that you can go. 2. The time feature. By this I mean that the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT **not only finds the best route for you but it also tells you exactly what time you will arrive at your destination. This is important to me, especially from a work standpoint, so that I can ensure I stay on task with my appointments. I like being able to know not only what route is best for me but also what time I will be arriving at my intended destination. 3. The location feature. By this I mean that if you do not know exactly where you want to go by address, you can also search by location on the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT.** Say you want to go to a restaurant, gas station or convenience store but not sure where to go? Its ok! You can select restaurant or whatever you are looking for in the Garmin and the Garmin will find the closest places and provide the directions. You can even search by kinds of restaurants (American, Asian, Barbecue) when selecting a restaurant. Talk about choices! 4. The save feature. You are able to save some of your most favorite locations into the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT.** In mine, I have saved my home, work, local Target (of course!), parent's house, day care and some of the most common places that I go to. Then, instead of having to type in the full address every time I go to these places, I can just recall them quickly and be on my way. 5. The auto fill feature. This means that the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT **recognizes street and ciy names without having to type in the full amount. This saves time instead of having to type in a full street or city each time you search for them. We just purchased a new vehicle and had the option of adding a navigation package to that vehicle. I did not even think twice about doing this because of my love for the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT.** I would never get a permanently installed GPS system when I could use my Garmin and transport it in and out of vehicles when I need it. My last favorite feature is that you can use the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT **as a walking tool. When we were on vacation in Washington DC, my husband and I brought alot the Garmin and used it as we walked around. We could still type in locations and attractions just like we do when we are driving but instead of driving, we were on foot. The directions were easy to follow and make our vacation so much more enjoyable and we were able to see a lot more attractions than we would have seen if we just relied on our trip maps. I would recommend the **Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT **to anyone who uses their car on a daily basis. It will help you always know where you are and it will allow you to find your destination quickly.
