For some time now I have thought of buying rubber stair treads for my outside steps because I have an elderly neighbor that visits often and want to be sure she is safe from falling. Recently, when I was in Target, I saw these Garden Place stair treads on sale. The price was right so I purchased them and took them home.
I was disappointed in the quality of this product from the moment I took them out of their packaging. The treads came with some kind of double stick tape that is supposed to help stick the treads to the step. The tape is so narrow however that the protective paper on them has already come apart in many places in the package. Because the treads are folded in the packaging they have two big bumps that can't be immediately flattened. I have had them out for a few days now hoping the heat from the sun will help them lie flat. If not, they are going back to the store.
The treads are not as wide as some that I have seen and they are not as thick. This is not necessarily a bad thing for my needs but must be pointed out for those who are seeking the really thick ones I have seen.
These treads are 20 inches wide and 9 3/4 inches deep. They are made of 100% rubber and are designed to be cleaned by shaking or rinsing them off with a hose. Made in India.
