I loved the Garden Oasis owl solar lights that we bought for our backyard so much I wanted some more for the front yard. When we went shopping I could not find anymore owls but I did find these really cute squirrel ones made by the same company. I purchased four of them. I placed two at the top of my walkway and two at the bottom to help illuminate it at night. They provide just enough light to help find your way up to our front door and are cute additions to our yard decor. They get lots of compliments from our friends and family both in the day and at night. The squirrel light recharges from the sunlight during the day giving it enough charge to remain lit throughout the night. It is very sensitive and comes on once the sun has begun to set. These do have an on/off switch if you wish to turn them off certain days or times. These solar lights are heavy enough to stay in place during storms but light enough to easily rearrange.

There are a few reasons I am not that ecstatic about this item. First off, this little squirrel is about 6 pounds heavy. With this in mind, I thought it would stand up great, but unfortunately, I was wrong. The little fellow topples over at times, especially during those days that the weather isn't too nice. Weather is quite an enemy of this squirrel ornament, so I would advice for you to mainly use it during summer and fall. You might want to avoid Winter and Spring due to the rain and snow that could cause corrosion on the item. On the plus side, the squirrel's light has been through all this and not given out yet. I would have to say that the working light and the cute appearance of this item are its main selling points. If you adore little, cute items like these then you would probably love this. Otherwise, I would advise for you to perhaps steer clear of this item unless you live in dry climates with nice weather conditions.

I bought this lighted squirrel and an owl that is similar. Frankly I've been pretty disappointed with it. I initially thought it was cute and we could put it with the plants on our back patio so that at night we could have some light, but not be too bright. I live on the water and clearly this thing was not designed to hold up. I would say if you lived in an area that has weather more "extreme" you probably don't want to waste your money. Because I live on the water there is a lot more corroding happening to things you leave outside all the time. This little squirrel hasn't held up well at all.. We still leave it out because the light still works, but the cute little squirrel just look like he has seen better days. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was going to end up like this after such a short period of time from buying it. I will say I like the size of it. I also like the amount of light it emits, it bright enough to see, but not so bright that it's garish,

When I purchased a similar owl version of this light the squirrel was out of stock but when it came back in stock I snapped it up since I loved the owl so much. This is an adorable little statue and looks cute both during the day and at night. At night it provides a nice pool of light near it that is not too bright as to be distracting for the neighbors but is bright enough to provide a nice level of light so I can see to walk from the car to the door at night when I forget to turn the outside light on. I do not leave this little guy out in the severe weather so if it's going to be very windy I make sure to bring him in so he does not fall over and get damaged. I also bring him in during the winter so he is not damaged by the snow and ice. Overall this is a nicely made statue with a bright, but not too bright, light. It functions well on the patio, by the door, or in the garden and is cute during both the day and night. I definitely recommend it.

This Garden Oasis Squirrel with Solar Acorn was purchased about a year back during Christmas and my son loved the product. The product weighs 6.17 lbs and is very light to carry. I have placed this product at the entrance of the garden and it's more like a deocrative piece which is not only looking attractive but it also works like a torch and provides light during evenings when me and my family spend time outside. The product is brown in color and has the shape of a cute and smiling little squirrel. The squirrel has a glowing acorn which is powered by solar light in his hand which lights up the area of the garden. The price of this product is quite reasonable but the product is not good quality wise. The product is made of magnesium material. The product has fallen down twice earlier and due to this one ear of the squirrel got damaged. We have kept in on the grass only so that it does not fall down and get damaged again.

I already had owl spotlights set up in my backyard so I decided to purchase the Garden Oasis Squirrel with Solar Acorn for my porch to mix things up. This light delivers a large beam of light that can be seen from several blocks away, but it doesn't shine through my neighbor's house, which is a positive. Since I live in an area with very dim street lights this little LED light makes walking around my yard with my dog at night no different than walking around during the day. I did experience some issues with the light turning off and on when I had my Christmas lights on, but once I positioned the senor out of view of light it corrected the problem. The only downside to this light is that I wish it was more life like in size to a real squirrel. This squirrel is close to 16 inches tall and has very little texture to it, but since it serves its purpose I don't mind the design too much. I would definitely recommend the Garden Oasis Squirrel with Solar Acorn for anyone in need of extra light that blends in with any gardens.

Browsing through the store one day I ran into this adorable squirrel - which I immediately got a kick out of. It was only after further inspection of it's hand painted features that I decided I must not leave the store without it. It stands just under a foot and a half but has a nice chubby body. The lighted acorn is about 4 inches long. The detail used in painting it is really good. It even has a dry brushed area to highlight and bring out more detail. Depending on where you live, you can't really use this in the winter time because the snow will add unwanted wear and tear to the statue figure itself but not necessarily to the actual light. I am unsure if weather can damage the solar sensor because I am careful to bring him in when the weather changes. As far as the actual ability of the light, that's something else. The light is not as bright as I had expected and only lights an average area of about a 3 to 4 foot circumference. One bonus is that the neighbor's cat is so bothered by it that he won't come near it in the evening hours and it also keeps away your every now and then sneaking mole. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to bother the skunk that much at all. I use it more as a novelty item than true outdoor lighting. To me, it's kind of like a garden gnome.

Decorating outdoors is my favorite task during springtime. I am always looking for new products for my patio area. I recently saw the Garden Oasis Squirrel and had to have it. I think it makes a great addition to my patio. The solar feature is great, as it doesn't use any electricity from my home which is great on my utility bill. The squirrel is very sturdy and even across the bottom. Some of the other statues that I have purchased in the past haven't been and I had problems with keeping them standing during storms and winds. The color of this statue is great making it very lifelike and easily blends with anything. Another great thing about the statue is the time that the light stays on. Although it is solar power, it still seems to build enough power to last through most of the night. I am definitely pleased with my purchase of the Garden Oasis Squirrel with Solar Acorn. I am planning on purchasing another one or two this spring. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone.
