Lucky Bamboo is a easy and simple plant to grow. The plants leaves turn yellow and can burn if put in direct sunlight. Many care tips and sites say to add fertilizer, however i have found that the plants leaves burn and upon researching the reason I found that the fertilizer burns the plant so you shouldn't use it....you can tell if this is happening if the tips of the leaves are brown.   The BIGGEST thing to know is that flouride which is in Most Tap Water can burn and kill your Lucky Bamboo, you can find out how much flouride is in your tap water by contacting the water department, but since... review »

I recently received this type of "Garden lucky bamboo" as a gift and it is so easy to grow! I started mine as a house plant , but will later transfer it to the outside. It is easy to train to whatever shape you like. I use twist ties or common string to get it to grow to the shape that i desire. It would also make a nice looking potted plant for the deck!

Lucky Bamboo is and easy to care for plant that just needs a little TLC - and that's it!  No messy planting or constant pruning and proding - it's beautiful and self sufficient!
