Lucky Bamboo is a easy and simple plant to grow. The plants leaves turn yellow and can burn if put in direct sunlight. Many care tips and sites say to add fertilizer, however i have found that the plants leaves burn and upon researching the reason I found that the fertilizer burns the plant so you shouldn't use it....you can tell if this is happening if the tips of the leaves are brown. The BIGGEST thing to know is that flouride which is in Most Tap Water can burn and kill your Lucky Bamboo, you can find out how much flouride is in your tap water by contacting the water department, but since Lucky Bamboo is native to the floors of the rain forest FRESH RAIN WATER is Best for the plant, or spring water. If you still want to use tap water you should fill a tall glass(depending on the size of your plant) with tap water and let it sit over night(or about 24 hours) this will rid the water of flouride and other chemicals. Be sure to drain the majority of the water already in the plant before adding more!!
