Is it just me or do little kids look so darn cute in pajamas?  I tried to keep my son in footed PJ's, but alas he would no longer tolerate them at a year old.  When fall came he needed pajamas that would be light weight for hot evenings yet warm enough for the night time cool down that comes with fall in Michigan.  Oh yeah and my son has an internal furnace as well, so having something light all year has been nice.  Searching through my piles hand-me-down of clothes, and voila, I came across four sets of Baby Gap Long Sleep Sets and oh were they cute (my neighbor has GREAT taste).

The Baby Gap Long Sleep Sets come in a variety of themes for boys and girls, such as "Around Town" and "Bunny Car Race".  Each set has two coordinating pajama pieces, long-sleeve top and long pants.  Pieces are made from 100% cotton (except decorations).  Decorations are either screen print or sewn-on fleece appliqué (no choking hazards noted).

The tops have contrasting ribbed crew neck and sleeve cuffs as well as a single object/scene on it (i.e. our lizard set has fleece lizard appliqués).  Since my son has a large noggin (like his mamma), we were glad the neckline has ample give for a toddler head, without looking stretched out.

The bottoms have prints all over (i.e. the lizard set has little screen print lizards).  The cutest part is the logo elastic waist band.  This looks just like it could be daddy's PJ pants.  The leg bottoms have a contrast cuff as well.  The pants are generously shaped in the seat to accommodate baby's diaper bum.

Sizing: The Long Sleep Set is available in sizes 3/6 mo all the way to 5T.  The manufacturer suggests the garments be worn snug since the fabric is not flame resistant.  The sets we have are all 18 months.  My son began wearing them at 12 months and is still wearing with no difficulty at 20 months.  Ok, so they were a little loose when he first wore them, but nothing horribly noticeable.

Purchasing: The sets can be found either at a Baby Gap store or on www.gap.com.  Summer is the best time to pick up a few sets of the Long Sleep Sets as they are out of season and on sale.  Regularly the sets run $22 each or $19 each when purchasing two or more.

My son wears a set of these pajamas almost every night.  They are light weight yet warm and so adorable.  Baby Gap sells similar short sets as well.

I love Gap sleep sets for both my son and daughter. No matter how many times you wash them they are still soft and show very little wear. My daughter is four and my son is two. He is now wearing several of the Gap sleep sets that my daughter wore and there is still plenty of wear left in them. They almost look new!
