These work but so do dollar non-cellulose sponges. $10 or 1?

Quick View: these little pink sponges do work to remove deodorant stains from clothing as well as hair and dust but so do any non-cellulose sponges. $10.00 for two pretty pink sponges is a bit much when I could pay a buck or two for the same thing - minus the pretty packaging.

About Gal Pal Garment Deodorant Remover 2 ea

I hate that white residue on my clothing from deodorant. I usually get rid of it with a damp washcloth but then have to walk around with damp clothing. When I saw these sponges, I just knew I had to have them. What I didn't know then was that any non-cellulose sponge would work the same way.

These little pink round sponges comes two to a pack for $10.00. To use, wipe the sponge with the grain of the fabric. If that doesn't do the trick, you should dampen the sponge and try again. Hmm. That sounds like what I always did! The package says that the marks may need repeated rubbing and that these sponges don't work on all fabrics.

I tried these and they work OK. They do remove the white marks from my dark clothing most of the time. Often, I have to dampen the sponge to completely remove the marks though. I learned, from my randomly genius husband, that the sponges were nothing but common non-cellulose ones. He said any cheap sponge would work. So I put it to the test. He picked me up a 75 cent sponge and, when I needed to remove the white marks, I used the cheap sponge. Hmmm...it worked really well. It wasn't as pretty but it worked at least as good as the Gal Pal ones. I suppose it is all about whether you want to spend $10.00 for two girly pink sponges or a buck or two for two not so girly but effective sponges. I like mine and will use them because I have them but, when these wear out, I will just use regular non-cellulose sponges and save myself some cash. After all, I have makeup to buy!

My Viewpoint

These sponges work pretty well to remove white deodorant streaks as well as fuzz and hair on most fabrics. Often they need to be dampened to do the job which is what I was trying to avoid. These are cute but I can get the same results from much cheaper sponges and I will when these wear out. I guess I will go with 3 stars. They're expensive and pretty average.
