This Brick or Foam Block as it is more commonly called are used in Yoga and Pilates classes. Some classes use blocks more than others. Blocks are an essential prop in my opinion. At about $10.00 each they make a good addition to your practice.
The blocks measure 3 inches deep by 5 1/2 inches across by 9 inches in length. You can buy them in a variety of sizes. Depending on what pose I am doing depends on what block I grabbed.
I have bought many Gaiam products and have been happy with the quality. Gaiam's come in purple, olive green and pink.

This block has helped my yoga practice. It allows you to have a comfortable strech, rather than over streching and creating a potential injury.
I no longer need it for most moves but I would not have achieved so much so quickly without this block.
